I just stopped in here for lunch excited that I didn't have to travel to white plains to enjoy panera. It was hands down the worst experience I've had at a Cafe. First the manager Alban rang us up for a sandwich, the Cuban, when they did not have the ingredients to make it. They informed us they were out of Ham and asked if it was okay to replace it with turkey. Okay, fine. Then the wrong drink was brought to me after a 10 minute wait time, I had ordered a Chai latte with an espresso shot and when I corrected them it was a totally unsatisfying, tasted like steamed milk. I asked if there was espresso in it and was told yes by an employee, who offered me an extra shot. I felt bad for him, and just let it go. He was sweet and apologetic. Then my order indicator went off, I approached the counter and was told to sit back down and that it would be served to me as I had ordered to stay. After 7 minutes of not receiving my food I approached the manager inquiring as to why my food had not arrived while watching numerous orders be served that had come in after us. I also mentioned that we had ordered a specific sandwich and that we were told the ingredients were not available. He told me it was his fault, but didn't receive an apology. Alban proceeded to try to find our food and came back with a to go order that had been sitting off to the side for ten minutes. He stumbled over his words as he pulled my now soggy and cold sandwich out of the bag then said he would be right back. He disappeared into the back hiding with no apologies, no offers to rectify our terrible $30 meal. We sat and ate, awaiting the manager to come back and finally gave up and left. If this had been an employee without authority I wouldn't be so perturbed, but to have a manager behave this way was...
Read more2 times now I have been refused service due to “policies”
It’s just past 12pm and there are 4 or 5 quiches on display. I ask may I get one of them. The lady says “no, they are supposed to have been thrown out by now”
So I say, “oh since you’re throwing them out can I just have one”
The lady goes “no, I can’t give you one but if you want to buy one you can” in a tone that was pretty aggressive and really confused me, because I had originally wanted to just buy one…
But was told no. Now, I’m made to look like a fool for asking for one after being told they should’ve been thrown out a few hours ago. Doesn’t make sense.
It’s just past 10:30 (AM) - morning hours. People still getting coffee and starting their day. I notice that the lunch menu is switched over. But I ask for a breakfast sandwich (because it’s still morning) - and was told no, it’s lunch. I said really? It’s not even 11. Was told no again.
There was really no explanation for both instances other than “no” - and as someone who works in customer service, I was perplexed at the lack of options given to remedy an otherwise thoughtless...
Read moreI went to panera yesterday after 10 years and loved the food and servie. Today was the opposite. I ordered a sandwich and wanted the multigrain bread. The cashier didn't know I guess that they were currently out of that bread. So the workers who were making the sandwich told me I have to choose another bread. All of the choices would be white bread which I cannot eat. So she said I can asked for a refund if I like by the cashier. I went to the front, there was a line of people waiting to order and no cashier was there. I came back to the back and told the worker to make the sandwich with any bread. So she proceed to do so. My problem is with the cashier, she came to back and said to me "you wanted a refund" I said yes but not anymore. She was like if you wanted a refund you cannot get it here, you need to come to the front in an annoyed tone and body language. I said I understand that. I came to the front no one was there and there was a long line. So I just decided to take the sandwich with whatever bread is available. I just give my husband the sandwich. The bread was too heavy and he...
