July 4th I was traveling with my family and friends (two separate vehicles) and upon crossing the Bridge we got separated out of the Toll Plaza and ended up going in two separate directions. Our radios were out of range, my cell phone would not hold a signal and we had no way of getting in touch with each other or getting back to them. I pulled off the highway exit 4 and into the yard of Staples. Being July 4th I figured everything would be closed and didn't know what or where to go from this point. Also, not having travelled through this route before didn't really know how to get back on track either. To my amazement the Staples Store was open. I went in and straight back to the photocopy / business centre and asked for assistance explaining our situation. Two staff members helped me out. I was able to find out where I was, where I needed to go to get back on track for home and one staff member even offered her personal cell phone so I could try to connect with our Friends travelling with us to let them know we were ok, and that we would be travelling a different route. I was also able to use her phone to call support for my own cell phone and get it working again. She let a complete stranger use her personal cell phone because we were in a real bind and needed the help. Between these two employees, even though I did not purchase anything from this store, they went above and beyond as far as I'm concerned and it really was very much appreciated. Not sure if the store manager reads these reviews or not but I wanted to make sure to say thank you. We made it home that night by 1:30 am a 10hour drive and had no further issues along the way. Between you Jamy and your co-worker who lent me her...
Read moreHorrible customer service. I called in today and spoke to Stacy around 8PM (they close at 9PM) wanting to make 60 copies with my own paper. I explained to her it was an emergency since all my directions for my wedding invitation got ruined and needed to be sent out tomorrow. She said that it's too late to make copies today and I had 6 people ahead of me which is totally understandable. She can place order and I would have to wait till tomorrow to pick up, no problem. My frustration is the lack of professionalism with Stacy. I obviously don't work for Staples so naturally I was asking questions, for example she suggested me making copies using there machine, in turn, I asked may I use my own paper, she sucked her teeth and murmered loudly "Oh my God" followed by an annoying singh. I'm sorry Stacy but you have no business working in customer service. I, myself do work in customer service and I pride myself in providing the utmost best customer service. Did I also mention Stacy hung up on me when I told her I was on my way. Instead I looked up another Staples(Palisade Mall).. called to see if they can accommodate me with copies, the representative said of course and that she'll make them herself, only takes seconds. I made a U-turn and headed there. I was so bothered by Stacy that I had to call back and tell her not to worry because I found another Staples who wouldn't mind making me copies and gave her the heads up I was going to write this review and contact the manager in the morning. I have dealt with all types of customers and I still managed to remain respectful and professional. So...
Read moreTerrible customer service. I placed an order online for an item that says they have 13 in stock early in the morning at 8:30 am. I did not get the confirmation email that my item is ready for pick up so I decided to call the store at 5:00 PM, 8 hours after I placed a 1 hour pick up in store order. The first person who answered was a woman and right away she placed me on hold telling me that she will look into it without asking for my information. The second person who picked up was a man and asked me for my information, the time I placed the other yada yada... and said that he will look into it and placed me on hold. A third person picked up and asked for the same information the second person had and said that he will look into it. I finally told him that he will be the third person to look into my issue. I finally told them I will just come to the store and pick up my self. On my way to the store, I finally received an email that the item was not available. I just can't believe that it took them 9 hours and 3 people on the phone to finally get an email. I could've ordered it from another store. I should've learned my lesson but I placed another order online the next day for 1 hour in store pick up for an item that says they have 9 in stock but was immediately canceled due to non-availability. At least I got the email on time. I place that same order to pick up at the Yonkers location while the website says they only have 2 in stock but it was available immediately. Anyway, either their computer system about stock and inventory is wrong or someone is stealing from...
