Once Upon A Child- Blasdell, NY — Local services in Town of Hamburg

I've been to this used kids item store a handful of times. Buying: some items are a little over priced for used clothing. Selling: FORGET IT! I've brought items in there 3 times and never have much luck. I've taken totes of clothing that I can tell we're barely gone through because they were folded just the way I had them. They tell me they couldn't except them because of the brand, the condition or they have too much stock. Tonight I took in a BRAND NEW Graco glider. Used maybe a months worth. The girls told me "it sticks". The bouncer I brought in is in good-used condition. The girl tells me "it has to be cleaned up and that's something we don't do." I washed both items before I brought them in! It rediculous how nothing much seems good enough for them. There is not a legit system for what they do accept. Waste of time even taking items in there! The girls tonight also told me they couldnt accept a toy that hangs on the headrest for rear facing children to play with because they don't carry those items. Why wouldn't...

I really do like this store and I shop here a ton for my forever growing boys. The store is always organized, very clean, and they have lots of really nice things to shop through. However, I did not appreciate the young girl’s attitude that cashed me out when I visited yesterday. It seemed that the customers were a bother to her. She was very annoyed, extremely short with me, and complained to a coworker next to her about finishing a task that she had started all while cashing me out. She also seemed very annoyed with my son when he asked if she could scan his book first, so that he could hold onto it and she completely ignored him when he thanked her. Maybe she was having a bad day, but I worked retail for years (actually in a very similar kind of store - Plato’s Closet) and that isn’t a reason to act like that towards a customer. I will be back because I think the store is great…but not so much...

Went it to sell stuff after calling and describing everything in detail to the worker on the phone because it was about an hour drive for us only to get there and take most of it home. Because oh that doesn't sell in this area or it didn't have sets even though they bought the matching shirt to the set. And they couldn't even put things back the way they found them, trying to put things back in the car with clothes falling on and pieces falling off it hard to do. At the very least they should have been put back together the way I left them (example: toys velcroed back onto the jumper) they didn't even have all my stuff off the back shelf and where trying to keep one of my baskets!
