Ryan at Wireless Zone in Saranac Lake was my saving grace in a nightmare I found myself in. I started on a Sunday afternoon with the online reps who promised me I could do an instore pick up that day, which was awesome because my daughter was leaving for college! Well that didnāt happen and was told it would be ready the next morning, which by 11:00 I hadnāt heard anything so I called the Potsdam,NY location and they said they werenāt sure why I was able to out the order through because they didnāt even have them in stock! So I had to get back in touch with corporate, cancel the order and start over⦠you think this would be easyā¦NOPE!! It placed a hold on the line and I was told multiple different things on how long it would take to be unblocked so we could restart this order. To try and resolve this they put it through on another line, which I then put it through to be an instore pickup at the Saranac Lake, NY store since my daughter was back at college. Mind you, we are now on Wednesday, so day #4ā¦Guess what?!? The same exact scenario happened again!!!! The store didnāt have in stock what was ordered!!! UGGGHHH!!!! I had to cancel the order AGAIN!!! Ryan was AMAZING at undoing the crap that corporate had done in my account! He went through the hair pulling experience of talking to customer service and figured out how to make things right for me! I desperately drove an hour and a half to see Ryan and it was well worth it!! Take my advice, DONāT DEAL WITH VERIZON ONLINE!! Take the trip to Saranac Lake,NY and see Ryan!! When I first walked in the store, I saw two men sitting face to face at a table chatting. One was an older gentleman and the other a young guy in a ski cap and flannel shirt. To my surprise, eventually the younger guy, who certainly didn't look like a professional employee in a customer service role, eventually asked if he could help me. At least that's what I think he said, mostly it was mumbling.
When I described what I needed, without saying anything, he started typing on his iPad and eventually mumbled some inaudible techno jargon, that apparently I was supposed to understand, and said what I needed wasn't possible. Wanting to end this experience as soon as possible, I simple got up and left without saying a word as I could see asking any further questions would be an exercise in futility from this completely disinterested and monotone "customer service representative". Upon our first visit, to upgrade to an iPhone 14 Pro Max, we were assisted by a representative that was in training. We were not aware of the status at the time, however, 10 days later when we picked up the phone, we became aware of the situation. Unfortunately, the initial agent had misquoted on the net price of the phone, after trade-in, and indicated that I was placing a down payment, which I did not indicate. However, upon picking up the phone, we were assisted by Ryan Hart, a seasoned employee. Upon Ryan informing us of the numbers, I became concerned with the entire transaction. He apologized immensely and compensated us for the initial errors, as much as possible within his authority. Ryan offered to cancel the transaction, if we so desired. We did purchase the phone. If the initial errors had not occurred, we would have given this review 5 stars.
