If you are trying to decide on a wedding caterer, just hire Katy and her team!! My husband and I cannot say enough good things about having Katy's team catering for our wedding. First of all, the food was amazing (and you can't say that about a lot of weddings). We did buffet style but everything was fresh and delicious, we got a lot of compliments on the food both during and in the weeks and months following our wedding. Second of all the service, I truly feel like Katy and her entire team went above and beyond. From setting up the tables to having a glass of champagne ready for my husband and I after the ceremony to dealing with the 800 kinds of wine we had bought for the bar, they truly made our wedding day SO special and easy. Katy's experience in planning was clear as she ensured we didn't miss a single detail in the weeks leading up to the wedding. Not only that, but she and each one of her amazing team members was so incredibly sweet. As a local, I have been eating sandwiches from Lakeview Deli for years and they have always been really good. This has kept me coming back. Something has changed. I usually order an Italian hoagie on toasted gluten free bread with the works because it was always generous in portions and delicious! Not anymore. The last 3 times I have ordered the same sandwich, the quality has gone down each time: less meat, smaller bread slices, smaller portions, fewer ingredients and no flavor. Today was the last straw. I know they were busy on a Saturday with the boat race going on in town, but there is no excuse for a sandwich that was dry (no mayo, no oil, no Italian dressing, no banana peppers) after I asked for “the works”. There was hardly any meat between the bread, about a third of previous portions. The sandwich was extremely subpar. Others in my party has similar complaints about their sandwiches. The company I work for has multiple employee appreciation events per year. I really hate party planning (I would alternate between subs and pizza). Lake View Catering makes it so easy; I give them a head count, a budget and a date/time - and they come up with something new and delicious every time (always ready for pickup on time). They have hot or cold options, seasonal themes, something different each time. Everyone absolutely loves the variety. The local family owners are just amazing to deal with.
