On Saturday 9/27/25 I was here at this facility to take my exam to renew my license after coming from such a long ways leaving my house at 7am to arrive at 8:30am for a 9am writing test, Once completed will then be followed by a skill test,I was one of the first ones to arrive at the facility at exactly 8:15am ⦠the doors was actually still locked upon seeing a maintenance man or one of the gentleman exit the building I asked was I in the correct place he confirmed I was and that the doors were open shortly to be tested at the Cambridge business Institute on the third floor 303, once our instructor, a young lady followed by another lady arrived at 9AM myself and about 20 people that were lined up outside, entered into the actual testing areas. Long story short my experience was completely traumatizing to the degree I had to call the Hempstead Police Department due to the fact, I felt like I was robbed after paying for my test, both written and skilled test I was locked out of the testing area due to a scary, angry disrespectful lady working at the front desk after I was made aware that I had passed my written test along with a few other candidates. We were all excited and exceeded to the hallway to wait to be tested for our skills test as we all waited. We were excited and explaining to each other how happy we was that we had passed the written test the scary, angry, rude lady from the front desk returned with a very disrespectful loud beyond threatening tone of voice. telling us to shut up and be quiet that we were too loud⦠not wanting any confrontation with this woman we just looked at her, we all lowered our voices even more..and continue to wait for our instructor to call us in 2 at a time to begin our skilled test ,as we all sat there and waited about 10 of us. We started talking in a even lower tone about our skill test going over different things, This disrespectful rude threatening tone lady returns back around the corner, where we were all sitting entering into the room, where the skill test were being given to complain to our instructor who intern came out and said that she can hear us that we need to be quiet at that moment I just got up and removed myself going into a area where there was no one was sitting because everyone was in a classrooms, upon sitting down this threatening tone of voice lady follows me around towards the 2nd seating areaā¦.yelling whatās your name!! Whatās your name!! over and over again as I completely ignored her, not giving her my name, not even knowing that she was speaking to me she continue yelling. Whatās your name? Whatās your name? Iām calling Promatic on you. I didnāt even ask her whyā¦again Iām in complete surprise /Scared wondering, why are you even talking to me or yelling at me? I said nothing to you. She began speaking on the phone I became afraid/ threatened as if my right to testing was now being compromised ..I call Promatic who happens to be closed on Saturday so I need to find out what else I can do to protect myself and my testing ability, I spoke to security who stated he would see what he can do to have her reopen the door (SHE DID NOT RESPOND) Thatās when I proceeded to call the police because upon going back upstairs to speak to my instructor, I realize Itās best to have protection as well as a witness because I wasnāt sure if this woman was impaired on some sort of substanceā¦.I paid to take my test. I felt robbed of my chance to complete my 2nd half of testing, once the Hempstead police officers arrived I explained to them the matter at handā¦.and by then I had time to think about what I was going to do next at that time I didnāt feel safe, even being in that building after being threatened/ unsafe and not sure if I will get a fair skill testing score.. I explained to the officers that I just wanted to tell my instructor that I will be calling Promatic on Monday morning explaining the situation in hopes of not having to pay another dime to complete my test, especially after feeling unsafe/ threatened and LOCKED OUT of my paid...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI recently took my professional certification exam at Cambridge and I couldnāt be more impressed with the entire experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming and made sure I felt comfortable and prepared. The check-in process was smooth and efficient, with clear instructions provided at every step.
The testing environment was clean, quiet, and well-maintained, which helped me stay focused throughout the exam. I appreciated the modern equipment, spacious workstations, and the overall calm atmosphere that the site provided. The proctors were professional and attentive without being intrusive, which gave me peace of mind knowing the exam was being conducted fairly.
Overall, Cambridge provided a stress-free and professional environment that allowed me to focus entirely on my exam. I would highly recommend this testing site to anyone preparing for a certification or professional exam. Five stars for a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTerrible experience.. the lady the showed up an hour late. Everyone in the office had 9:00am appointment and no one started their test until about 10:15. There was a man who was there from the beginning and the lady was not giving him the time of day. She was yelling at him very stressed.. but it was not the mans fault. She stated at one point āIām am about to walk out and leaveā. She said sheās in training but had no help, she was on the phone was another āemployeeā and being very unprofessional... just complaining out loud. Many people in the room were stressed because of having to go to work, pick up their kids.. etc. overall if you can take your test at another location Iād consider that then this place. Felt bad for every person in her...
