Update: The quality of the work of particular nail techs here are consistently great. If you're there for a pedicure, stick to the ladies in chair stations 1-3, for nails/acrylic/gel: the older Asian ladies and sammy are the best. The lady in the very first chair when you enter the shop can be very abrupt and sometimes rude to customers and employees. You can tell when she snaps at someone or says something nasty, the mood of the shop shifts. But because they quality of their work is excellent and finding a consistently good nail shop is hard, most of us just deal with it and stay on her good side, but it's not okay. She really needs to improve her customer service. I went to this place 2 weeks ago for the first time. At first I was a little concerned with some of the reviews, but I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the work. I usually get my nails done in Queens, but I had an event to attend so I called around 10:40am for an appointment and was able to get a 12:00pm same-day appointment and text my name and photo. The woman on the phone was a bit abrupt though. I got to the shop about 11:45am and it was PACKED, but they were definitely moving through customers at a good pace. I was seen on time by Sofia and babayyy..this woman does amazing nail work. I wanted to give a review after a week or so to see how the nails held up. Quality work and not one nail broken. I work a lot with my hands from baby, gardening, grocery shopping, etc. Not a chipped or broken nail, which would have been different had I went to my spot in Queens. Provided they keep up the quality of this work and are respectful of clients, this may be my new nail spot. The prices are LI prices, but you definitely get what you pay for in quality and sturdy work and...

If I could give stars to the employee Norma I'd give her 5 stars...I've been a customer for over 10 years off and on (my Daughter, Granddaughter and I) and at times I've paid for us all $$$ but no more because of Carrie (or Kerry) the Manager who is dismissive and rude at times (today I unfortunately witnessed that she chooses who she wants to be courteous to and who she doesn't) Here's the scenario: I asked for an appt the day before via text, sent my picture and cell phone number as requested. She gave me a 3:30 p.m. appt to which I arrived on time...by 4:30 after waiting patiently I asked Carrie how much longer and she curtly responded: "when she's done" (she must've caught herself because she immediately said: "she's almost finished." Yet after I waited another 1/2 hour (because Norma is excellent) for a total of 1 1/2 hour I left at 5 p.m. and texted Carrie how unacceptable waiting that long is...heard crickets/no courtesy of a reply/apology for inconvenience....Getting a pedicure is supposed to be a relaxing experience however dealing with Kerry/Carrie was unpleasant to say the least. How she handled me today is between her and God. She clearly differentiates how she treats ppl hence I'll definitely take my precious time/money elsewhere and will encourage my family and friends to do the same....

I don’t know why this place is rated so highly. When will our community stop accepting disrespect in exchange for a set of overpriced tips. The owner (Carrie who has no respect for the black community that she serves because she talks about us every second she can get-) says that since COVID everyone has to make an appointment but gives 20 people the same 9 am appointment. Homegirl got a line of 50 girls waiting an hour outside before she opens up shop like free bacon is being handed out on a Sunday afternoon. Then she arrives 20 minutes late and walks in like she’s Chinese Beyoncé. She chooses whoever she wants to go first while others are left waiting 2 or 3 hours. There is no order. She’ll curse you out, has no customer service, and always thinks she’s right. Then…. She’ll demand a prorated tip and try to slip in when you ask how much the final bill! So you gonna tell me how much to tip you for being cursed out, and waiting hours!!!! Girl bye. I’m sorry. Somebody needs to slap her and leave her bob haircut on the floor. Ain’t no pedicure, tip set, or eye brow wax worth this mess. Only this community will accept this non sense. Expect better my beautiful sisters. Find a better nail salon or expect respect. I just can’t...
