I have used the Walgreens located in E. Meadow at NUMC. the pharmacy there is top notch all around. Its small but they are customer oriented and on the ball.!!! I give them 100!! The manager is awesome. Now, having said that. I had to switch pharmacies because when going to NUMC you have to pay for parking and it can cost you up two $5 or The more getting your car out of the lot. ITS a crime you have to pay for parking at a hospital! Anyway, I decided to switch to a closer pharmacy. OH MY GOD!! its been hell! They are clumsy, the manager is in hiding, and customer service stinks! I had to demand, yell, ask for the manger, slam my hand on the desk, call my doctor to have her call them, and it was just a total mess. One guy who is apparently NEW! was stumbling all over the place and they had the nerve to tell me oh. hes new so he might make a mistake !!!! WHY IS HE ON THE COUNTER HANDLING PRECRIPTION DRUGS!!! They have about a dozen people in there running over each other and God forbid if your on the outside line. You might as well turn your car off and have your lunch because your gonna way forever to get your precription! THIS pharmacy is a mess. I cannot change back now, because it will then cause a problem in their system!!! delaying my medications!! I cannot imagine what other Walgreens are like. After experiencing this one, I am afraid to find out. I am now stuck! until my prescriptions are renewed again and that will be for months!!! ...
Read moreThanks to the ghetto girl behind the photo center desk, i will never step foot into a Walgreens ever again in my life. I come in, go straight to the photo center to pick up an online order. I'm standing there for 1-2 minutes, the store is empty. The woman behind the counter continues doing whatever it was that she was doing, she never acknowledged my existence in this empty store. I finally speak up and said, "hi, i have an online order to pick up." Girl: "you're going to have to wait" Ok. That was rude. I proceed to the medicine aisle to get some allergy medicine. I made the purchase at the register. I finally come back to the photo desk and wait for Ms. Congeniality to decide when she wanted to help me. After a few moments she finally asks for the name on the order. I tell her. My orders not there. It's been over 72hrs and the item went back on the shelves. Ok. I did not know that this would be the case. It didn't say it online when i was making the order, nor did it mention it in the confirmation email. This woman's demeanor is enough for me to give my sole business to Amazon. She lacks all problem solving skills, customer service skills and basic manors. Not only does Amazon have a reliability factor that's damn near perfect but best of all; no miserable human interaction. I too work in the service industry, thanks for reminding me what horrible service feels like. This interaction just made me...
Read moreWalgreens in Hempstead is the worst pharmacy in town. It is a shame that in an area with such a large vulnerable population, we have a Walgreens that care so little for the people they are supposed to be helping. I was trying to help a elderly neighbor with some of his medications. I was on hold for an hour and 30 min. They kept picking up the phone and putting it back on hold, after waiting all that time they just hung up on us. It is obvious that Corporate doesn't care that our community's needs are being ignored and it's members are being mistreated. We should not be forced to go in person in order to get assistance. What happens to our community members who are elderly, sick, and have no assistance or transportation? The pharmacist is well aware of the phones being ignored and the community's needs being neglected. Walgreens pharmacy staff should be ashame of themselves and the care they provide to our community.
I was forced to give 1 star in order to be...
