Healthy Meals Direct — Local services in Town of Hempstead

Was a customer at the Freeport location maybe a year ago but stopped going for reasons I won’t get into. Living in Oceanside I decided to bring my business to Trader Joe’s until I noticed a healthy meals direct in my town. I was I bit skeptical due to some previous experiences but gave it a go. That was months ago and I’ve decided to write this review because myself and many of My friends that now go to the Oceanside location have all had the same experience with an employee named Veronica.

She is an absolute delight to deal with. Everyone myself and friends have gone there she isn’t on her phone, she’s never in a bad mood nor does she act like she didn’t see you come in. For anyone that hasn’t been to this location, there’s an entrance in the front and back. Due to parking to will enter the back side and the desk will face away from you but no matter what she turns around and greets with a smile. She remembers many of us by first name, has constantly asked about previous things we may have spoken about and has never failed to offer to help me bring things to the counter for me while I’m holding them (mind you I’m a man at least 10 years her senior).

I never expect or demand much from retail or customer services employees; their job is hard and people are cruel, however I will say she is more helpful and better than just about anyone else I’ve encounter in years. Usually when it comes to meal prep stores, I always find their meals either dry or bland. But Healthy Meals Direct is by far my favorite place to get meal prepped food! Their food tastes VERY fresh and flavorful!

They have tons of options to choose from, and are resonably priced! You can order your meals online or you can pick them out at the store, but their website has a lot more options than they have in store. But they still have 50+ options at their Oceanside store front location. Amazing meals, amazing staff and will continue getting...

I’ve been eating HMD for quite a few years. I used to live in Patchogue! Drove by one day and happened to stop in. Not realizing it became my regular place. I followed the weight loss guidelines the owner, Mike has set up and I dropped a ton of weight between the food and adding exercise. Mike is awesome! Super helpful and super nice! I moved to Oceanside about a year ago and would stop in Freeport or Patchogue here or there. Mike recently opened a location in Oceanside, down the street from my home. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
