“This is a luxury natural hair salon”, Oh please!🙄 This salon charges you $90 to wash and blow dry your hair with NO deep conditioner for 30 minutes like I thought😒 THAT DOESN’T EVEN INCLUDE A TRIM YOU HAVE TO PAY EXTRA FOR THAT!!! This salon is highway robbery with rude staff who don’t even email, text or call you 30 minutes before your appointment to confirm that you are coming or remind you. They have terrible & rude customer service by the OLDER hair stylists(45 & up). But the front desk people are nice at least, clearly they want to collect those coins for mid service. They talk over you, don’t give you ANY HAIR ADVICE, but have the gall to say backhand comments on the state of your hair. What if I was having a bad hair day and I came to your establishment to feel beautiful…why am I leaving feeling belittled. They give you a mini water bottle and some cheap kiddie snack like your not an adult who wants I don’t know a cup of tea, homemade bake goods, coffee, or a fun sparkly drink like you would get at a spa. Not mini Oreos, mini chips, and mini fruit snacks like some child. They advertise as a luxury natural hair salon but they rush through the whole appointment its not ONE Hour & 30 minutes, I saw many people leave in under an hour for the same Shampoo & Blow Dry service as me. What really had me LIVID was the jabbing comments by the stylists, they were jarring to say the least. Why ask me a simple hair question, just to bash me when I answered instead of GIVING ME ADVICE. Your stylists are cheap on the hair products too, they don’t EVEN use leave-in conditioner or hair lotion WHEN USING HEAT ON THE HAIR just some hair spray without telling you what it is. They don’t use ENOUGH PRODUCT my hair stylist literally sprayed my thick and coarse 4b hair SIX times then processed to put me under the dryer only for 5, max 10 minutes. She didn’t use any heat protectant serum when she blow dried my hair and gave me dirty looks throughout the process. She criticized my hair saying it wasn’t receiving water in my hair strands while blow drying me, without telling me a solution to my hair problems. She even told me she couldn’t flat iron my hair even if she wanted to because its so dry even though I NEVER ASKED HER TO FLAT IRON MY HAIR IN THE FIRST PLACE. The last straw was her telling me I’m a product junkies under her breath like I couldn’t hear her. She said all that unprovoked, so unprofessional! Everyone keep your coins and don’t go HERE UNLESS YOUR IN your 30s & DON’T MIND CUSSING SOMEONE OUT IF THEY GET RUDE! Go here only if you want to waste money, have your hair criticized unprovoked, and hair potentially damage because of lack of product. Beautiful Salon I really was mesmerized at how beautiful everything and everyone was. But the only issue I had and I do not ever do things like this is that my stylist was just talking down to me as if I have no idea what I’m doing with my hair or anything not only did she not try to educate me with any products till the end of my services but she wasn’t really feeling me from the beginning of the appointment and that really was energy i felt. It’s not my first time going to a natural hair salon (which i said to her) and I’ve been natural for years so for the vibes to be off like that coming from a hair professional really made me feel bad.I booked services for scalp detoxification and she just made me feel bad about my scalp being the way it was at first like girl, yes im dealing with a scalp issue and also I’ve been very depressed and busy as hell (I’m a first responder) that’s why i booked for the services in the first place.I’m trying to explain to her why it is the way it is but it’s how you say things not what you say. Regardless to say i didn’t have to explain that to her in the first place but the fact that she made me feel some type of way was just beyond me. Then, she using products on my hair, not telling me what’s what and i just found that so strange like … I was the one asking her … then towards the end of my services she wanted to recommend products to me that HER co worker told her to tell me. It wasn’t really giving . I felt so Awkward like for real especially since i came in there and I’m already feeling a little down with my scalp issue like girl , really. Will I go back … maybe but first i will probably wash my hair and go in with my hair washed already because now I’m insecure lol and that salon is amazing and all their hair gadgets like their sinks and hair dryers and everything is so aesthetically pleasing. And to my hair stylist she not a bad person she probably was tired and had a bad day that day but you don’t really Know what people are going through mentally for you to assume things about them and talk down as if they don’t know what they are doing. And on top of that she did a beautiful job styling my hair different from what I’m used to but i loved it everybody was complementing my hair she did a great job with my hair.

I had an appointment this past Tuesday with Mimi and honestly her work is BEYOND exceptional. Three months ago, I came in to do a Wash & Dry- Ala Cart and my hair 3 months ago was not what it is today! Consistently styling my hair when drenched wet, putting it in tight buns, excessively brushing, and not trimming my hair for over a year with excessive heat, put my hair in a very damaging state. It was very dry, brittle, easily shedding, and the length was very uneven. I came in literally just wanting to wash and dry, no trim and Mimi said “NO you’re getting this trim today”. From there, she did my trim and gave me a 60 day regimen to basically start over. At first, I was like ehhhh whatever I’ll see. I literally documented my hair journey throughout those 60 days with pictures after every wash day. Listen… if I can upload a before and after picture of the transformation within these past 3 months!? Everyone would be like damn. Her regimen was the TRUTH. My hair sheds less, way more healthier, better curl pattern, more thicker, and most importantly more manageable!!! Three months ago, Mimi recommended that I return after the 60 days and do the individual twist style. That was exactly what I did and she was in awe this past Tuesday! Mimi is brutally honest as well. I told her that I wanted a silk press next and she said “ABSOLUTELY NOT” lol. Even though I laughed shortly after, I really appreciated the honesty she displayed. I really love her and appreciate what she’s doing for a lot of women. Not only her, but everyone on the team caring for women with natural hair. It’s not easy finding a natural hair salon who not only styles your hair, but teaches you how to maintain health, and share what products may or may not work for you. Everyone in the salon is just so nice and welcoming. It is almost as if they let you feel at home even though it’s literally a salon. The hospitality is really amazing (shoutout to Oprah especially when washing my hair). I appreciate what this salon is doing for women with natural hair and pray that they keep thriving!!!...
