Checkers — Restaurant in Town of Hempstead

On June 19 at around 6:30 PM, I ordered from this Checkers location via Uber Eats. When I opened the sealed delivery bag, a live cockroach fell out. Not crawling around my house inside the delivery bag. I took photos and video. I filed a health department complaint.

The next day, I received a call from someone claiming to be a regional manager. Instead of taking accountability or even apologizing, he tried to blame Uber Eats, claimed he’s “never seen a roach in 10 years,” implied I might be lying to get free food, and then said something truly unbelievable:

“There are no roaches on Long Island.”

That’s what passes for customer service here. Gaslighting, denial, and deflectionwhile someone out there is still being served food from a location with obvious sanitation issues. I don’t care what he’s never seen I saw it yesterday and have the evidence.

Checkers corporate has been notified. So has the Department of Health. I highly recommend you don’t...

Terrible service from the manager. Received 3/4 ice and 1/4 coke. Told this to the employee who responded "we don't do refills" Yep I noticed but there was not even coke on my glass. When asked to the manager about it she told me that I should asked for that next time?? Told her it was a terrible service she was giving and she lift her shoulders making me notice that she didn't care??? What kind of service. Nerver go to eat in this place. Horrible grassy chicken bites, terrible burger I had. One of the worst around this area. Prefer to have a microwave meal instead of this. Hope somebody does something about this...

Let's start off by my door dash delivery person saying she told the woman at YOUR STORE to fill my drink a little more because it's too low which is was and the lady refuse to SECONDLY I ordered a Big Buford not a Baconzilla ... that got me mad because I don't even like bacon ... calling the store to fix the problem no one wants to answer ... And the strawberry cheesecake sundae I order looks like they just throw it in there 😒

POOR POOR POOR SERVICE and mind you this is one of my favorite fast food ... idk what's up but you guys need to pay attention and satisfy...
