Marshalls — Local services in Town of Hempstead

I used to loooove this place. As in, I loved this particular store. It's convenient located in a plaza next to Home Depot. So while hubby ran errands at HD, I "ran errands" at Marshall's. But then...something happened. It got messy, scattered. Granted I'll dip in from time to time. And I end up with some pretty decent finds here and there. But when they first opened and for years after that, I'd walk into a very organized store where everything was well kept and displayed accordingly. There was an abundance of options, things easily found and I'd walk put with a cart full of goods. Now there are times I walk out with nothing or maybe 1 item. Have I become frugal? Nah...it can't be. This was the place you spent twice as much as you expected because there were just so many amazing options. But not anymore. Maybe it's management, lack of staff, not enough emphasis made from the leadership team to make the store presentable. Who knows. Listen, I'll still go if I want to browse and have some dollars to spare. From makeup, shoes, home goods, etc....I'm sure I'll find something. I'd love if they'd make it more presentable like it used to be. However. It's still a great place just less...

I never had a horrible experience here until today. I had bought ear buds here two days ago and only one side was working. I took it to the store today to return it with the receipt. The supervisor on duty was extremely unprofessional, rude, and nasty. She would not refund us despite the ear buds not working. Nor did she offer us any alternative options as to how we can solve this. Despite this, the entire interaction consisted of her interrupting me and basically blaming us for it. Then, I overheard her talking to 3 more customers after me about me and said how she can't make a miracle happen. As a supervisor, to talk about a customer to other customers is just beyond disrespectful. I am never...

This is an average Marshalls, an average store. There is nothing particularly wrong with this place. This is an average store, not a great store.

The store's inventory are marginal - as a 34W x 34L male born with thighs, I had trouble finding pants that fit. There are some toys, hoodies, decor, home goods, etc. as you normally find in a Marshalls but these areas need more attention from staff - its kind of a mess.

High points are the staff and general cleanliness of the store - even though it can be disorganized in the back, the whole store is clean and in good condition. Staff are friendly and patient.

Parking can be stressful during holidays but no worse than a typical...
