iShoppes (International Shoppes) — Local services in Town of Hempstead

Made a purchase at the Salvatore Ferragamo store located at the JFK International Airport for a pair of sunglasses. A day after the purchase, the case broke with no visible physical impact causing it to break. This subsequently impacted the glasses causing one of the glass to pop out. Upon my return to the US, a week later, contacted the company's headquarters in NY. From July 2nd, 2019 up until now, Sept 20th, the company has blatantly ignored my emails and phone calls. Provided the information requested over a month ago and have not heard anything else ever since. Have emailed and called asking for status and no response. Please do not purchase for them, you are better off buying from the company/manufacturer or any other provider than International Shoppes. If you do decide to transact with this company, be aware that you could potentially lose your money; as in my case $400 for a pair of sunglasses that I can't use. I bought some chocolates and candies for two children in this particular dutyfree shop in JFK. The man at the counter said that he would deliver the goods at the gate and when I was at the boarding gate, there were no such delivery and flight was going to be delayed. So I got into the flight and at the end of my transit I asked about it from the airport crew of American airline, they said none came to deliver and asked me to call the shop. I dialed more than 10 times and no one picked up the phone. I URGE all potential buyers to thoroughly check and recheck their purchases when dealing with the iShoppes Ferragamo at JFK. My recent experience at this location was nothing short of a nightmare. I was assured I was purchasing a new, undamaged belt, but upon a closer inspection at home, I discovered significant damage and I was given the displayed item. When I brought this to the store’s attention, they not only denied responsibility but also later contradicted themselves by acknowledging the damage, then absurdly claimed the item wasn’t what they sold me!
