Generally speaking, this library is one of the best ones in Long Island. Most of the librarians who work here are extremely kind and helpful, and they have computers and printers as well as magazines and photocopiers, a video and DVD collection and a water fountain near the restroom. They even have free museum passes for valid cardholders, and frequently organize various fun activities for families. They even frequently sell used books and magazines near their main entrance, which vary in price but are mostly 10 cents each. A very calm and peaceful place for studying and relaxing, or for greatly expanding your personal horizons by entering a thousand other worlds and universes.

This is my second time here at this location this week. I was notified by three different employees within 10 minutes that they were closing at 9pm. To which I continued to say yes I see the time and was already notified. At 8:55 they turned off all of the lights leaving me in the dark. This is very rude and off putting.

This library is mediocre. There are times when the noise levels is not tolerable for studying. Many times the noise is actually coming from the library staff. There are many times while studying I can here conversations about personal relationships, COVID etc, you name it coming from the staff. The staff talk with a tone as though they are in a cafeteria with no discretion. The library is frigid cold for people that cannot tolerate extreme air conditioning. I advise bringing a sweater and ear buds to drown out the noise. There are children in here all the time yelling and screaming making it seem as though it doubles as a nursery. The staff won't tell people to quiet down because at times they are the ones who are most noisy. Try and distance yourself as possible from other patrons considering the current state of communicable disease transmission. The library does not have a social distance policy. Some people will come and sit directly in your face if you are sitting alone at a table. In those cases it best to travel with a mask as mask are no...

Mrs. Terry, Mrs. Eng the director, & Mr. Bobby, were kind, and the library in general has educational resource’s that support academic, social emotional, civic engagement, and encourage’s/facilitates community involvement with every team building activity, advertisement, book’s they provide, and the manner in which the library is organized create’s a warm, welcoming, friendly, and a “help yourself to our database” of programs that enhance your awareness of current event’s, historical triumph’s, and manner’s in which you can develop a study group…all with SAT, GRE, and Regent’s exam sources of...
