“You can request your wings are extra crispy when you order if you'd prefer them that way.“ -Carolyn
Today I decided to google the restaurant to write a letter to corporate only to discover it is a franchise location.
My fiancé and I visited the location 3 months ago for the first time and returned 2 days in a row for the lemon pepper wings. The first visit was pleasant the wings were great and crispy. We decided this was be our new wing place. The second trip however was a night and day experience. We never received notification that the wings were complete. We just decided it had been a while so we checked back. We get our food and check it immediately to ensure the frys are not soggy since there is no way to know how long they had been sitting. The chicken was undercooked and slimy once pulled apart (we requested extra crispy). We then requested them to cook a little longer. The cashier relayed the message to someone on the back (they can be heard debating) ultimately the person in the back won and the refry was denied. When we requested a manager the cook came out to explain that he was the owner and that “nothing could b done for us with the wings” and that they could not be cook further. He then decided that we would get no wings He stated “ give them back their money and if you don’t like the wings don’t come back”
His brazen disrespect had me utterly mortified. (Mumbling underneath his breath :these ppl always complaining about the chicken) I’m not sure if he meant customers or black people but the general vibe was ... he meant black ppl. Not one thing lead him to the extreme of don’t come back. I was visibly shaken by his aggressive disposition that it resulted in a verbal altercation between the “owner” and my fiancé. Going forward we will NEVER patronize...
Read moreC’mon people really??! First of all, these reviews must be a mixture of fake, friends and or family. I walk in and the guys yawning with his mouth open like a lion in the Serengeti. Ok, maybe they had a busy day. So I ordered a 6 piece meal and ask how long it would take because I was trying to catch a train. Also, I asked if they’re wings or wingettes? He looked at me and walked away to ask the “cook”. “Wings” he said. Ok, cool! I got my order and ran across Sunrise Hwy with a couple of minutes to spare. On the train I checked and they were wingettes.🤨 That’s half a wing sons 6 piece is actually 3 wings. Also, I didn’t get Dasani water but maybe it’s the same price as Poland spring? I was starving so when I got to Lynbrook realize how raw the wingettes were because of the light that the heating lamps gave off. The lamps must have been on a timer so when they turned off- yikes!! WTF😳😳😳 The pictures tell the rest of the story. 🤢🤢 Wings Over Valley Stream need to be wings UNDER Valley Stream..way under!! SMH...
Read moreValley Stream didn't have a solid go to wing joint. Now we do. The delivery service was shakey, my parents said that there was some back and forth between the staff - no arguing, seemingly just nuance.
Not a typical over the phone delivery experience. At first, we were told that deliveries could only be taken over the app. But then the staff said it can be taken over the phone. This is my biggest complaint. An order of 25 wings comes with only 1 cup of blue cheese, which for a heavy dipper like me, lasts only for a handful of wings. We had asked for extra but only received 1.
With that being said, the staff is kind and friendly. The actual delivery time was normal and fine.
The food is really good. The wings are solid, lots of sauce choices. Other food items are great too. If you're on the fence about ordering, just order. It's probably the best wings in the Valley...
