I’ve been a dedicated customer to BareBodies for months now. I’ve never had any issues with customer service until recent. After every service they bombard you in the attempt to upsell you with over priced DIY products. I typically go for sugaring but decided to try their facials. After my $75 facial they prescribed products for an at home regimen. Some products were their own & others from another skincare line. At no point did anyone advise me of the prices nor were the prices visible. My card already being on file they scheduled my next appointment & charged me for all items. Wasn’t until I got home did I realize I didn’t receive a receipt but majority of the bottles didn’t not have a protective seal. Anyone could’ve tampered with the products. They could’ve sold me Covid in a bottle. My bank alerted, I spent over $250 plus the $75 charge which prompted me to wonder how much each item cost since they were small. I googled the skincare line they sold me & to my horror saw that BareBodies doubled the price! I only realized because after inspecting the broken seals, they stickered their own prices beneath the bottle to hide it. They intentionally tore off the plastic seal of the original company because it had the sticker of what the actual retail price was. Upset I checked Barebodies website return policy, nothing there referenced my situation so I called the establishment to inquire. Though they weren’t rude, they refused to issue me a refund regardless of the products being untouched by me. I noticed after my inquiry they quickly edited the website to impose a no refund policy.

Money isn’t all that matters when running a legitimate business. They had no care for my concerns as a repeat customer despite selling me unsanitary products at astronomical prices. They didn’t even offer an exchange of service for the product. This is a money hungry establishment. This is not how a respectable business should treat...

Sure, this may work in many other specialties, but sugaring isn’t one of them. I’m so grateful I took the leap with Bare Bodues because I promise you, not a single “one day” course could compete with the extensive amount of knowledge and hands on training that has been offered by Bare Bodies Academy. Meeting both Tajina and Karina, who are beyond experts in their disciplines, held my hand from the very beginning and offered me every tool possible that would contribute to my success. I’m confident that I won’t fail, especially with the lasting mentorship Tajina offers. I can truly say I did it right the first time...

I go to the valley stream location every 3 weeks. Karina is not only an aesthetician, she is a sister to so many. She listens to your concerns, educates, coaches you through the process and even will listen to your emotional grievances as well of thats what you choose to discuss. She has been a support not only through me becoming used to the sugaring but she has also been a support and encouragement through some of my insecurities and personal experiences.

Debbie is so gentle in her mannerisms as well as her technique for sugaring. She makes you feel like she just gave you a huge hug and a shoulder to lean on without even touching you. I hope they keep her as she is phenomenal. She was gentle, kind, reassuring and helped me...
