UPDATE JANUARY 2025 My only issue with this establishment is that their hours are not very convenient for someone who works full-time. To only be open 4 days a week, with hours from 1030 to 5pm just doesn't work for me. I needed work done on 6 rings but when I showed up at 11am they were closed so I had to find another jeweler who has hours that extend past 5pm. I can't take a day off or leave my job early just to go to a jewelry store. They do excellent work and have a beautiful selection of jewelry but I need a jeweler that not only is trustworthy but also has working hours that are not so limited.

UPDATED JUNE 2, 2023 Had to bring my engagement ring in for a minor repair, the center stone got loose somehow, so I dropped it off around 1:30 pm today then was contacted 90 minutes later that it was fixed. talk about quick. it looks beautiful again and the stone is now completely secured due to the repair. always very happy with their service and their prices are reasonable.

UPDATE: August 16, 2021 I recently brought in a few pieces of jewelry to get repaired which they did a great job on, as well as being done the very next day. So that was great. I also gave them my engagement to replace a small diamond that was missing. The work was done the next morning, very reasonably priced and the ring looked brand new, which is exactly what Josh said it would be. That ring was brought into the store about 2 years ago when I wanted to replace the center stone with a larger one that I had purchased. Jack originally told me that he may not be able to do what I needed which was to change the whole prong setting in the center to accommodate the new larger stone. He then came up with an idea and the ring was done in a minimal amount of time and I was extremely pleased. It looks amazing!!! I get so many compliments on my ring it makes me very happy that I made the decision to go to Matthew James Jewelers. Also the prices on the jewelry that they sell are quite reasonable and they have beautiful inventory. Believe me if you go to them for your jewelry needs, you will not be disappointed. I will always use them as my jeweler.

Great and knowledgeable jewelers. The new owners and the people that work at Matthew James were extremely friendly and welcoming and they were VERY honest, which to me is the most important quality in choosing a new jeweler. They also had very fair prices on quality jewelry. I bought a diamond gold necklace for my nieces communion and it was absolutely beautiful, classy and very unique. I have always used this jewelry store because the original owners were amazing and when we first met when they first opened up, we quickly became good friends. When he passed recently I was scared to find a new jeweler because it’s hard to find a good jewelry store that is as trustworthy and not willing take advantage of you or switch your stone to a fake/cheaper stone than the original owners of Matthew James. I happened to stop in the new store and when I met the new owner I was instantly very impressed and happy. I was also happy to hear that the original jeweler who worked with the original owners still works there. This is definitely the only jeweler you should use if you live anywhere nearby. Not only will you get jewelry of better quality and prices than that of commercial jewelry stores like Kay or Zara, etc. (which I would NOT EVER RECOMMEND because it’s truly like throwing your money away), but you will find the most important quality you need to have in a jewelry store, honesty. They will take care of you and treat you the way you should be and I am VERY happy to have a personal jeweler again that gives me the same quality as the original. My wife and I bought a watch for my son for Christmas. I had and idea to get it engraved before I wrapped it. My wife called a few jewelers to ask if they could engrave it before Christmas. Since Christmas was only a few days away I figured no one could do it for us. The only one that said yes was Matthew James Jewelers even though we didn't buy it from there. The man that answered said bring it down and I'll do it now. When I got there I met Jack, showed him the watch, he asked what we wanted the engraving to say and which font I wanted, gave me the price (which wasn't expensive at all), took it into the back to get to work. Another man came out and we started talking while I waited, his name was Josh. It came out perfect. Jack or Josh didn't push to sell me other jewelry while I was there. They were 2 of the nicest and most professional Jewelers I ever had the pleasure of dealing with. Even though I didn't buy the watch from him and he was still willing to engrave it for me, he created a customer. I will definitely go back for future purchases.
