Car inventory is advertised with misleading pricing practices. Found car on cars.com which appeared to be priced competitively and looked like a decent deal. Came in to see it in person, test drove ok and aside from some minor issues it appeared fine for the price, altho online pictures intentionally omitted some obvious cosmetic defects and there was a noticeable clunk coming from the rear. Then we sat down to talk numbers and the salesman gives me a sales pitch about how the car is advertised very competitively already without much room for negotiation, a few hundred at most if financed through them. He then casually mentions a wildly different asking price. At first I thought I misunderstood but he quickly confirms the price and says that all advertised prices are after a $4K down payment citing that it's clearly stated in their site as he points me to a sentence in the middle the fine print on their website as follows "All online prices are a balance after putting 3995$ down plus a 695$ dealer fee." He then says all the dealers in NY, NJ, and CT do that, which I know to simply be false. I pointed out that I saw the car advertised on cars.come and there was no mention of their fine print there to which he acknowledged saying "yeah we're working on that" as he shrugged. Yeah I really doubt they are... As we're getting in the car getting ready to drive off, he said he could work with us on the price if we give him the opportunity with as much as a couple thousand off the price, which I found ironic considering he just explained how the car was priced with very minimal room for negotiation just a few minutes before that. I said that unless he could match what I thought to be the advertised price, we're simply not interested, especially considering the issues with the car; at $4K + was just way too large of a difference to work with. I want to be clear here; at first glance the advertised price appeared to be fair and competitive, not at all too good to be true which would have promoted more skepticism. They did not appear to be well staffed at all with just 2 salesmen on a weekday no less. Our salesman was overall friendly, altho I wouldn't say very attentive as we had to chase him to ask for a test drive, tell us details on the car, to move cars out of the way, etc etc.. We had to wait roughly 20 min for their one and only dealer plate, which was being shared with the shop across the street, just to take the car for a quick test drive. And I mean a VERY quick test drive, as he refused to let us take it anywhere beyond a roughly 1 mile loop of congested city roads around the dealership, simply offering to just do the same loop again. They did have a small showroom that was fairly clean and well taken care of, but that was all just for show. The visit overall was a total waste of time, felt completely mislead. The dealership felt somewhat shady from the start but figured no problem as long as we would get a decent deal on the car. I would not recommend doing business here, shady...
Read moreBuyer Beware! First - the sales rep and Christina never once attempted to right the wrong! I found a vehicle on motorhubs website... I called the location... Spoke with a sales rep... I said I was prepared to purchase a Porsche Cayenne from them... I repeated the cost of the vehicle 6 times...$15795. the sales rep never said the cost was higher. The sales rep said there was some dealer fees etc... I told him not a problem... I certainly understand there's a dealer fee and tax and tags etc. I told the sales rep I would contact him the next day with a deposit to hold the car so I could have it inspected. The next day I phoned him as promised. I told the rep to send me paperwork for me to sign and I'd give him a credit card to give a deposit. Then a conversation ensued... The sales rep sent me over figures showing $15,795 the cost of the vehicle, 695 dealer fee roughly 1800.00 and then they added $3995.00 fee in order to achieve the $15775.00 purchase price. I told the rep his website shows the Porsche Cayenne for $15,775.00... And then he explained that the only way I can achieve $15,795 is to pay an additional $3,995... I asked him why he didn't tell me that the day before the cost of the vehicle is actually $20000 not $16000 - he said his boss told him not to tell people the real price!!! That sort of sales tactic is unethical, unmoral and has no place in the business world... Motorhubs - please do not state you're a stand-up company when you do unethical practices like this.. If you are actually going to consider purchasing from these people, please make sure you understand all of the chargers before you go and do business with this organization... I would never be so devious or unethical... But then again they have to sleep with themselves at night Here's a concept., post the actual cost of the car on...
Read moreWent in for a blue jeep wrangler, we worked out a deal, they took my deposit for it only to find out that they sold it already and lied about selling when asked, after finally being honest, they found a blk one it looks nice on the outside but came with all types of problem, tried to get these issues fixed but they're mechanic are trash one looks like a recovering dope head, and the other just don't know anything (360 auto care ) went for a wheel alignment they couldn't do that properly so they wanted to hold my car for 3 days mind you I live in Brooklyn, I went to a mechanic in my area and he fixed it in an hour no parts needed after that I was convinced these people are not real mechanics, had to do a brake job and oil change and I only had the car for a month and a half, when they changed my tires they destroyed all the sensors and now I have to get that fixed just ridiculous and they also needed a few days just to replace and program sensors so I just took the sensors and had someone in bk do it which only took an hour and half. The passenger door was stiff I got free hinges from them but all it needed was some Wd 40 oil and it was good as new I advised everyone to check the cars before buying, don't rush when dealing with snakes like them I've texted my concerns to one of the manager Gene and received no response, only had the car for a month and half, they couldn't even put a brand new battery or filters. cabin was empty, none at all, and the engine filter was disgusting. It never changed since the last owner, just ridiculous.
Now, I had to fix caliper on both sides, so rusted it started to freeze up. Only for 3 months, I had this truck, and there...
