Ruben's Barber Shop — Local services in Town of Hempstead

I will no longer go back to this place. Reuben is very rude and unprofessional . He treats women with disrespect, and when I have a question or a concern, he rolls his eyes and gives me a dirty look. He has a serious ATTITUDE problem and is inconsiderate to the needs of his clients. Other people that I know , don't want to come there due to his lack of mannerism and professionalism. The staff that work there are nice and pleasant. Reuben should learn from his staff how to treat women clients with professionalism and respect. Shame...

I was recommended this place by my hotel staff by the JFK airport and indeed is a great place with awesome service. Ruben was the only one attending that Monday morning, there were a few ahead of me, but boy he quickly took care of all of us with great detail and precision. First time at the place and just little explanation on how I wanted my haircut, and Ruben performed like he had been my barber all my life. Thanks again for a great haircut. Will definitely be back on future JFK overnights....

Ruben has been my barber for over 20 years. I use to take my sons there for their haircuts when they were small.

There is only one other barber at Ruben's that I would allow to cut my hair. Other than that Ruben cuts my hair exclusively as he knows what to do at a short period of time.
