Terrible customer service! I went to this target for a special release today for the Aaliyah doll and was the first person in the store. I arrived at 7:20am to park and walked in the store at 8am. I looked in the aisle for the item where the website stated it was located. The item was not on the shelf. I noticed there was cart next to my aisle with a bunch of boxes marked toys/dolls that were not opened. I spoke with a manager who stated he saw the item on the shelf and he did not know what happened to it. But in the next breath he then states he will check the stock in the back because he did see the doll this morning. He then proceeds to say if he has it, then there will only be one available. While waiting, a line now forms because there are other people now waiting for the same item. When he went to the stock room suddenly I checked website again and the status of the item was now changed from in stock to out of stock. All of us were standing by the register waiting where we were told to wait. Absolutely no one was on the lines purchasing anything, the store was still pretty clear except for the employees and the now 6 customers including myself waiting for the doll. He comes out of the stock room after we all waited 15 minutes and states , oh they did not receive the delivery for the item. So I’m left confused as to how the status changed once I inquired about the item and all the different responses he provided about the item’s availability. I literally hear another customer ask him about the doll and he states the doll just sold out a few minutes ago. So which one is it? Clearly the employees bought the item or set it aside for themselves. Don’t waste your time coming here today or for any other limited release. I will definitely never go back to...
Read moreWent into this location today and had the WORST experience I have ever had in any Target location. I don't even care that I sound like a middle aged woman with nothing better to do with my day. That little girl ash in the front is disgustingly rude and should not be employed in this store. She was walking around with the most unwelcoming face not even introducing herself to the customers in front of me that needed help. She walked over, to one couple, pushed a few buttons on the screen like every time she touched the screen a little piece of her soul was dying, then walked away without saying anything. The older couple was still lost and had to figure it out on their own. Then when i unfortunately had the displeasure of walking up to her register to ask some questions about the price match she simply told me "no it's not here" and rolled her eyes giving off the vibe that I should go F myself and provided no further assistance. If I ever walk into this establishment again and I see her in the store I am turning around and walking out. How she was hired I have no idea but this sad obnoxious excuse for a customer service employee is ridiculous. I will be sure to tell everyone I know to not come here it's...
Read moreWhat most people do not know is that the whole concept of this Target is for it to not be as big as the ones we usually see in your typical suburban shopping center. It is all part of Target's new "urban center" format stores that started out in neighborhoods in the city such as TriBeCa to put more of a focus on what the community and surrounding area may need. Target then moved on to look to find neighborhoods on Long Island to expand their small format store concept and chose Elmont as one out of two of the places they wanted to build this new model. You have all that you would find in a normal Target but just in smaller sections with no full electronics, lawn/patio section due to the size of the store. You still have the same aisles along with a grocery section. It's very nice of Target to pick Elmont as one of the towns to test their new model which goes to show the area is continuously developing and on its way to becoming a "trendy" place to be and for a fairly recently new store, I say the staff is doing a pretty good job keeping it organized and well stocked. And the Starbucks adds to its small...
