THE THEATRICAL RELEASE... I do like Kohl's in general, but being a 6' 2" tall man with a husband that is 6' 3" it is hard to find clothing there. They do have a big and tall section but is is minuscule. They have a great variety of items and they do have pants that work for us. If you wait for their sales and use coupons and are lucky enough to have Kohl's Cash you can get some really great deals. They have pretty much everything from bedding to bathroom, shoes, suits, under garments, kitchen items and much much more. Their prices aren't bad but you do have to watch some things as you can sometimes find similar items at lower prices at other stores. The best times to buy are of course Black Friday and they always have really great deals during their after Christmas sale.
THE DIRECTOR'S CUT... Kohl's is a department store carrying a large variety of items from men's and women's clothing to home goods. The store is always neat and tidy. The shelves are in good shape and usually fully stocked. The staff are friendly and willing to assist without being intrusive.
We will check out Kohl's every once in awhile to see what they have on sale. Sometimes we are looking for something specific or just window shopping. Their prices are usually pretty reasonable especially if you have coupons and/or Kohl's Cash. You can always find at least a 15% coupon online, just do a Google search for "Kohl's coupons."
They allow you to order online and pick up in the store which can be convenient for those that don't like to take time in a brick and motor. We have used this feature when we know exactly what we are looking for. My husband hates to shop and I am hit and miss depending on how busy it is there.
Their Black Friday and after Christmas sales are usually really great. Along with the lower prices you can use coupons to get even better prices. A couple years ago we bought two Sonoma, their house brand, leather jackets. They were both regularly $200 but dropped down 50% and then we had a 25% coupon and $30 in Kohl's Cash. All in we paid $65.00 pre tax each for the jackets.
Recently we purchased a Copper chef induction cooktop. It was normally $99.99 but on sale for $79.99 plus we had a 15% coupon so it cost us $67.99 pre tax. It came with their 11" Copper Chef casserole pan as well. I really like this, the induction cook top is really nice and I won't have to heat up my kitchen in the summer. I like it so much I am planning on purchasing a double in the near future.
If you want to save some money on clothing or home goods stop by and check out Kohl's. Even if you are in the mood to window shop you may just end up walking out with some great deals. The staff are great and the isles are of decent size so you aren't dodging.

Read moreI used to like shopping here, but I do not think I will be back again for a couple reasons. I picked up an order for the first time ever today and the lady at the customer service was kind of rude and made me feel like I was stupid for not knowing where to pick up my order. Maybe teach her how to provide friendlier customer service so you don’t lose anymore customers. And this has been my experience with most customer service members and some cashiers, they are just not very helpful and do not provide the kind of customer service you would think this store would make sure of. Also, the options and quality of clothes has diminished over the years and their prices do not reflect this. Most things are honestly over priced even with deals and they are seriously lacking with keeping sizes in stock and actually keeping up to date on what people actually would like to see in their stores to purchase. So hopefully they focus on better training and teaching their employees to treat their customers better and getting better selections of clothing in their stores that reflect the prices they are charging. I will be doing my shopping mainly at Carters, Childrens and JCPenney from now on and avoiding this...
Read moreI’ve never had a good experience returning anything to Kohls. The first time I had to return something inside of a Kohls Sephora, and although these I’m sure are not directly Kohl’s employees, they were incredibly disrespectful. I had bought something on my beauty insider account, didn’t have the box or the receipt, but knew I am still able to return it within 30 days. The first time I went up to the desk they said they couldn’t do it (obviously not true). So, I called Sephora customer service and they said I could return it within 30 days as long as it proof of purchase was on my beauty insider account (which it was). Now, I had to return something from Amazon to a Kohl’s, and at the return desk, the lady was screaming at me to stand in line when there was no one there! Although she was putting stuff away from another customer she had helped, I had something semi-heavy that I was carrying in, and there was really no reason to tell me to go back and stand in line when I could have honestly just set my stuff down at the desk and waited for her to put the other stuff away. I’d never raise my voice...
