My experience at Bloomingdale’s comes from the workers standpoint this was my first commission job ever and the time I had here was horrible let’s start from onboarding the human resource team they have there really are no help they don’t know how to explain your commission and when you get your commission. they pass you off to someone else tell you different things about the job but they themselves don’t know they had a lady onboard me and several other people she was only There for 3 weeks we were asking important things about the job she can’t tell us we had to wait for the “real” human resource manager . I myself didn’t get scheduled for 2 weeks after orientation they have 3 Human Resources managers only 1 of them can give you an answer to your problem or explanation about the job more thoroughly. Then also let’s talk about the work environment people you work with are so rude and nasty! The employees they had for a while will steal new employees sales and try to mislead you so you don’t succeed a lot of them play favoritism with each other. Long story short is if you decide to work here don’t ! The leadership they have are not reliable and your setup to fail. your commission won’t be paid correctly if not at all it doesn’t reflect on your check . If your lead of your area there’s some associates who can sell your product and make more than you in your area so the opportunity of growth here there’s none. I wonder how many good people they lost because the leadership doesn’t care or pay attention the management think it’s a fashion show they care more about buying clothes ...
Read moreI have been going to Walt Whitman mall for probably the last decade, and I have never met any ruder people in my life. As a customer who constantly goes to this mall, I can honestly say for the amount of money I pay for products, I would expect better customer service and employees to smile at my face. But rather than being an employee who is supposed to make you feel good about your day and purchase you made, the red haired woman at Chanel barely even spoke to me and my mom and ruined our day with the attitude she gave. She just ripped the receipt and gave it to us, without even saying "have a good day" as if she's PAYING US for the products. I think these employees should be sat down and trained again how to treat their customers. For a store that is so high up, the staff just sucks and is so unprofessional. When we were purchasing the products, they were having a conversation within themselves and got annoyed when we approached them to buy it because we were interrupting their conversation... so rude and unprofessional. I hope that there is a change made within this store because if not, I will most definitely be making a call and complaining about these people and this specific Bloomingdales store. With the amount of money I pay constantly, I want to be treated like a decent human. Yet alone I can't even get a "have a good day" or a smile. I just feel so annoyed and I should not feel this way. Read more“Very Happy and Pleasant Shopping Experienced”1st time to visit inside the Walt Whitman Mall I must say It’s phenomenal especially the Bloomingdale’s Cosmetic/Beauty Department .We came from upstate NY to actually purchase Lancome product in Macy’s but unfortunately it was out of stock then went to Sephora to check if it’s available but again it’s not avail so sad! .Good thing we passed by Bloomingdale’s and luckily after asking a nice lady in one of the department near the entrance (she walked me through the station and endorsed me to the Lancome Ambassador ) where Lancome beauty section is we had a very amazing experience with the lovely and very welcoming black beauty Ambassador of Lancome ,I forgot to ask for her name but she’s really genuine in customer care and very knowledgeable .Since she’s taking care of 1 customer at that time ,she requested her partner co-worker Sophie to assist me .She’s also very nice and very accommodating.Kudos to both of the Ambassadors of Lancome ,highly recommendable and because of their impressive customer assistance ,I re-stocked 2 more pieces of the facial wash I’m regularly using anyway we came from upstate NY and it’s worthwhile buying more .Will definitely come back and it’s great to meet passionate and committed Customer Service Representative of Bloomingdale’s .Hoping we have branch near us in...
