The Soothery — Local services in Town of Huntington

went in there today with my friend just going around the area and shopping. me and the lady, i think she’s the owner, we’re talking all friendly ! soon after she out of no where goes “ i have you on video” and i think to myself, oh maybe i said something funny and she caught it on video, then she continues and said “ what did you do with the bag?” and she says how she saw me take something on video, i keep asking her to show me the video and she doesn’t show it to me. i empty out all of the bags i have and my pockets, NOTHING. she didnt apologize when she clearly saw that i didn’t take anything , and she still gave me attitude afterwards as if i did take something. I felt so embarrassed, i really should have called the police to search my bag instead but i was so shocked and angry i wasn’t even thinking straight. store is a poc anyways everything seemed so cheap. i wouldn’t come here unless u wanna be harassed ! the AUDACITY THAT LADY HAD TO NOT EVEN APOLOGIZE IS...

I was checking the hours of a nearby store and noticed the low rating for the Soothery - it caught my eye since I too had a negative experience. It is a pretty shop, with nice items, however, as others have said the owner is awful and I regretted making a (rather costly) purchase. I have been a resident of the area for several decades and am happy to support local businesses but I will never shop at the Soothery again!!
