The park is on the water in Northport Harbor. It is a well shaded area to bring a chair and sit for awhile enjoying the summer scene of boats in the harbor, many dogs walking by with their adults, periodic lobster boats and the general picture of the western shore. There are short paved walking paths, benches, a kids park on the South side and a gazebo on the North side where there are evening concerts in the summer. There is enough room to throw or kick a ball around .There are restroom facilities available. The park is located at the end of main street in the village so there are cafes, a terrific bakery, ice cream shops, coffee shops and restaurants available along with shopping. Parking is adjacent to the park and can be challenging on the weekends . The park is well maintained and clean. Overall a very pleasant bucolic setting to relax, unwind and enjoy the outdoors. In fact my wife and I will be having dinner in a wonderful small restaurant The Harbor House tonight with a stroll in the park...
Read moreBeautiful park at the end of the main in the village of northport. Park is dog friendly, quiet place to spend an afternoon or after exploring main st. You can either park here or lot across the street in the other park. Parking lot does fill up fast however if your patient you can wait a few minutes and someone will leave. Other option is you can take your chances and find parking on main st. Park has several benches facing the water to enjoy the views. There's a bathroom however it's small only one stall and one urinal. Park is clean they seem to hold events there however today 7/7/24 no events were going on, only few old school cars being displayed. Overall park is nice place to relax. With friends and family whether you live in the area or visiting like me. You also have a playground which is well...
Read moreI used to love this place as a child. I got a disability called tinnitus as a teen and I can’t be around very loud noises. There is this band that comes here and plays extremely loud music every day. Why should everyone have to listen to their music? I’ve heard other people say this too. Drums, piano, guitar. The drums can be heard across the park. They keep changing places throughout the park too so I can’t even find a place without them coming up right behind me. This disability makes people commit suicide. I don’t know why they are allowed to do this at a public park. I just want to go out and try to enjoy something in this...
