I really wanted to like this place! Its dog friendly which is awesome and hard to find sometimes! The service started out strong and then took a nose dive. The hostess was very friendly, our server took about 10 or 15 minutes to come over but we saw it was busy and it was a nice day so we weren't bothered. We ordered a round of drinks and food. When our food came out no one checked on us and our drinks were empty and we wanted another round but our server was M.I.A. so we never got to order another round. When she came out on the patio she was flustered and explaining to the table behind us that the kitchen lost their food ticket and that's why it's taking so long. I heard them complain how frustrated they were too because an hour had passed and their food still hadn't come out. We finally flagged down our waitress and asked for our check. She brought it and then disappeared for another 15 minutes. At this point we had been trying to just pay and get out of here for 30-40 minutes. I finally got up and asked the hostess if she could run our card. I saw our waitress inside and she was taking an order at an 8 top at an inside table so I'm not sure if someone called out and that's why she had these tables all over the place or if they are always this short staffed. Overall frustrating experience but they have a nice patio if you have a lot of time and your wish...
Read moreI flew into New York because I had been notified that my father was sick and in the hospital. After spending numerous days straight, 12 hours at a time in a crappy VA hospital, getting relieved of duty by my sister around 6 PM on day was a blessing for my wife and I. They instructed us to go treat ourselves to a nice dinner and to turn in early. Which is exactly what we did. We headed out to Northport to walk on the pier and get a dinner. My wife was lured in by the lobster and muscle combination offer, which she ordered, and devoured all of. It was a proud moment for me seeing my wife finish off an entire lobster with her hands while splattering all the neighboring tables with lobster remnants and melted butter. I tried some and it was pretty good. I got the lobster gnocchi, which was extremely filling and pretty delectable. I believe that we also got an appetizer of fried calamari as well. Being from New York, but no longer living there currently, coming back and eating this was a little of homesickness served up on a plate. Eating outside, under the warm New York sun, smelling the water, and listening to the live music being played at the end of the street...I can't say it was the best food I've ever had, but it hit me in the heart, and in the stomach perfectly, and was exactly the experience we needed at...
Read moreVery disappointed. Arrived at 630 on a Sat night, understandably there was quite a long wait for an outside seat so we decided to sit at the bar and wait. The hostess assured us she would look for us there when our table was ready. The wine list was very limited which was the first disappointment. After waiting an hour, and seeing quite a few parties of 2 come in after us and get seated we went to check on our table and the hostess said "Oh, I forgot about you guys! Give me 5 min" Got our seat outside and then waited about 15 min to be greeted by a very unenthusiastic waitress. Not to mention that they squeezed an extra seat on the side on a 4 top table next to us and a lady was running her fingers through her hair onto our table. Gross. Ordered apps which were brought out in a timely fashion and tasted good. Our waitress never came back to take our entree order we had to look inside for her. Ordered lobster and mussels which took about 45 min to come out. Very disappointing service and meal. We...
