Place an online order. Some items were to be delivered to my house and those turned out fine they came in a timely manner as predicted. Part of my order was pickup. And part of that pickup was from garden and the other part was coming from the store itself. When I arrive for pickup I had a difficult time finding where the location curbside was located in the parking lot. Once I finally located those at the Far Side of the parking lot I finally called them told them as the instructions told me to do , that I was there and I was waiting for my order. Finally a short time later some nice lady came out and brought me my order from the store. Told me that somebody will be out with my ten bags of mulch that were coming from their lawn and garden. I waited and I waited and I waited an hour. I was Furious and hot by then. Tried calling the store and had a very long wait to get a hold of someone I told her my problem that I was waiting for a lawn and garden and she told me lawn and garden doesn't deliver mulch to curbside I have to go in to lawn and garden to get my mulch. I know this was not true because I saw many people come out and have the mulch delivered to their car. I told her that was not true and that I was told I can pick it up there and they would bring it to the car she put me very rudely on to another line and I sat there and waited and waited again for somebody to answer. No one ever came to the phone. So after sitting there as I said an hour the nice lady that brought me my orders from the store came right by me again to bring somebody else's order out. She was absolutely shocked to see that I was still sitting there and I was so angry at that point. I am handicapped I have a very difficult time with my right leg walking I need a knee replacement so after explaining this to this nice lady again she stopped one of the workers from lawn and garden that happen to be coming by and this very very nice young man says I'm so sorry and he says give me 5 minutes and I'll be out with your mulch. Thank God for these two people they were my savior's that day. As he said he was back within a very short time with my 10 bags of mulch and loaded them into my car and trunk. They should have all their workers be as nice as these people and as considerate. I did try to call the desk again to let them know what happened and believe it or not whoever answered the phone this time at the front desk hung up on me when I told her what was happening. And my opinion they need to fire that whole front end that answer the phone. I don't know what kind of services is that they're given the order and then and then never come out with their order. This was at the East Ridge Road store. I am having second thoughts as to whether I will ever go to Home Depot again I may just do all my shopping at Lowes from this point on honestly. Very very rude and very undependable as far as bringing your order out to your car they will let you sit out there and die as far as they're concerned. very unhappy with this experience to...
Read moreI went here to use a gift card I had received for my birthday from my parents. At the check out the cashier attempted to scratch off the layer protecting the PIN# and ended up accidentally scratching off the number itself. So now they say sorry we can't use the card. So I go over to customer service. Politely ask how they can fix the issue. Both people I spoke to were rude and unhelpful basically saying sorry the card is useless now. I kept telling them there must be a way to get the card re-issued. They said I'd have to call the number on the card (there is no # on the card btw). So I go home frustrated and call the customer service line. The rep tells me the store CAN in fact re-issue me a card, and that I just have to talk to the clerk. So I go back days later, and ask for that clerk. The first two reps said there is no person who does that in the store, didn't even know that position existed. So I asked for a manager. The maanger advised me the clerk left early (it was 1pm) and I expressed frustration that I've been back twice. She told me all the people who can do this are not available and asked me to give me phone# and they would follow up. I'm unsure if they attempted to call me, but I didn't have any voicemails from them, week goes by. I come back this time at 10:30AM, go to customer service, again asking for help with the re-issue. Again 2 people tell me they can't do it. I explained I was already told by a manager it can be done here, and the supervisor continued to say no it can't. Then an assistant manager came over who is supposedly the backup for the clerk that CAN do it, who is at lunch. She tells me that she may be able to help but they need the store# and 10 digits of my parent's credit card# to do it. First off, my parents live in Saratoga, and they didn't even get the card at a Home Depot they got it at the grocery store, and 2nd, they don't feel comfortable giving their credit number to some random person at Home Depot. So again, I leave the store fuming that no one will help me. I have a useless gift card. I will likely never go back to this store again. I'm hoping a manager at another home depot in the city will be able to help me out. I will drive farther to never have to deal with these people again. In total I spoke to over 10 staff members over the course of 3 visits and not a single one of them helped me, and more than half of them were incredibly rude to me and didn't want to be bothered....
Read moreMailbox post was installed years before I moved in. Whoever planted the mailbox post just stuck it in the ground. No protection from water, no concrete or gravel mix.
The original post rot straight through and the mailbox slowly tipped over once the post rot all the way through.
Hope Depot had a premade mailbox post for under 20. I got a 6 dollar bag of concrete mix as well
Borrowed a post hole digger and went to work. If you try to sink posts without a post hole digger, you'll be sorry.
Sunk the post. Kept it plum and level while I dumped in the DRY concrete mix. Shook the post until the mix was tight in the hole, holding the post still. Poured the rest of the dry mix in the hole and covered in dirt.
Why not make concrete with water and dump that in? Wait for it to set up nice and dry?
Because the dry mix works better on posts if you just dump in the dry mix. You can do this with fences, decks, porches.... Anything..
I sunk that mailbox post about two weeks ago. We've had lots of rain. The post, sucked in concrete mix, soaked up the moisture from the surrounding dirt, and the air, and quickly turned the mix surrounding the post, inside the holes into rock, gripping that post for the next 40 - 50 years, easily.
Mason almost got me to agree to ripping up the basement floor, and installing PVC TUBING that criss crosses the floor before the cement. Hot water runs through the PVC "hose" inside the floor, and heats the room. People love it. I'd love to have it.
Not jackhammering my basement floor to have warm feel in my studio. Maybe if ai ever build a house I'll do that, along with the double walls for soundproofing. Just a...
