I went in today to get a sim card. The rep started asking a bunch of questions and basically treated this like a sale for new phone services. He wanted to know if I have an account with them, (duh š) name & phone number. Then proceeded to tell me that they can't activate it for me, again not everybody is unfamiliar with the tech process of phone activation. These things can be done by self or a call to a rep, a no brainer nowadays. His attitude was condescending.
So I asked if you need all this personal info just to buy a sim card? "Yes we have to have it just to make the sale" was his reply. When he then asked for my address I said forget it, I can order one on Amazon. It shouldn't be that difficult to buy an accessory. If I could give zero stars I most definitely would.
I then went to the University Ave store. Was greeted there very friendly and asked what they could help me with. Then asked if I have a 5g phone. Advised yes. Total of 2 questions and I was out in 2 minutes, free of charge for a sim card. No intrusive questions or patronizing..It's a shame that i can't go to the Irondequoit store that's close to me just becaue of unprofessionalism. Being an android user my whole life I didn't think it was possible for someone to convert me to an iphone, but your boy grant did. Grant was very helpful and kind to me. He did not make me feel incompetent and was very helpful when answering all of my questions and there were a million of them. He made me feel comfortable, which is something I donāt see a lot anymore and many employees have made me feel rushed and like they were just looking for a sale. He helped me activate my new phone and helped me with the accessories I needed for it. I will be coming back here for future purchases. Thank you for your kindness and patience.... He also told me about the deal to add a new line, which was basically the same as I was paying for one line. I told my ma about this because she needs a new phone. I told my ma this is a great deal because sheās not with Verizon and her service suck bad. This was also a great deal because Verizonās the best on the east coast hands down and she wouldnāt have the trouble with it she currently has. I think when the time comes and the moneyās right she will definitely go for it. Itās the right thing to do, not only because Paul was so kind, but because Verizonās better than sprint and we get a new phone thatās basically twenty bucks a month. Itās a no brainer. Thank you to Paul who took care of the bill and told us about the deal to add another for basically nothing. Would definitely go to east ridge again if...
