Well I called about an order I had made that I completely forgot about. I called the store and the girl was very dismissive. Didn’t even want to help me. All she said was no it was put back. No it was put back. Ok being that I called at 9:30am. But whatever it was my fault to begin with. I go to the store to buy it and here comes an associate to help me she’s like do you have the order number and I said yes I told her I was told that it was put back. She was like let me check she was. I can even check the bin that it’s in well guess what it was in the bin and it was not put back. Her name was Gabby. Thank you Gabby For doing your job and wanting to help a customer, you should be in charge of training!! I ended up buying two other items that were posted on sale and I went home as I’m looking at my receipt at home. I was overcharged. I actually needed something else and went back so I showed my receipt to another girl. She says that’s not the sign for that item and I said OK. Well it’s the same name same brand same item she goes yeah but it was for a different style. OK well are you gonna honor the price? No well now she start speaking in Spanish and belittling me and talking nasty about me while walking away from me. little did she know that I’m half Puerto Rican and fluent in Spanish huge mistake on her part because now I replied to her in Spanish and I asked her to get a manager. She went in the back and never came out. I found another manager who said that it was not a problem and that it would be fixed. Then he said he would speak to her. I just don’t get people. You want to talk crap about someone at least be smart about it and do it...
Read moreI stopped in to Kohls to make an Amazon return. As I was walking back to the entrance I saw a display of hats and made an impulse buy. The store had very few customers at the time and I thought I was lucky to see at least 3 registers open and no customers on line. I went to register 1 and the cashiers were having a conservation apparently about another cashier taking her break at a time she wasn't supposed to. Despite seeing me standing there the cashiers finished their conversation (30ish seconds) and finally my cashier turned and exhaled sharply, looked at me and said, "You can't use that coupon." I had placed my hat and my Amazon return receipt on the counter and apparently it has a coupon that couldn't be used. I was unaware of this and simply said, OK. The cashier silently scanned my hat and told me the total. I paid with my card and she silently handed me the receipt. I said, "Have a nice day," to the cashier and she turned her back to me and resumed her previous conversation with the other cashiers. At a time when retail sales are plummetting and online sales are eating up brick and mortar market share it was confusing to me, but maybe it shouldn't have been surprising to have been treated as a bother by the store employees. I can buy the exact same hat direct from Under Armour for about $10 less than I paid at Kohl's. If the employees at Kohls continue to act the way they did today I can see no reason not to...
Read moreI rarely shop at Kohl’s specifically (once? Twice a year?) to avoid the checkout process. This is an issue with Kohl’s as a whole it seems like. I don’t know what the consequences are for not getting people to sign up for rewards but they must be terrible. I’ve never had a good experience checking out at kohls but this location specifically has been the worst. Today I’ve decided I’ll never go back to this location. When I explained I didn’t want to sign up for rewards because I don’t enjoy shopping there the woman, direct quote, said “Whatever! YOU’RE the rich one!” Then rolled her eyes at me, handed me my receipt, and didn’t even give me a bag when I said I wanted one after she offered one. I tried to be as polite as possible when I refused the rewards but I will admit I was already upset because I anticipated the cashier being rude to me. I just don’t think that’s the way to talk to a customer. Kohl’s needs to allow their cashier to take no for an answer and stop bringing people’s finances into a checkout convo. This has happened to me in less rude ways at Kohl’s locations before but this wording felt like a slap in the face. It’s rude and it’s unnecessary. Two stars because I did find what I was...
