Town Clerk — Local services in Town of Islip

Everyone working in this office represents an acute problem in local government. The website does NOT offer accurate information and has not been updated to provide COVID19 protocol. When you approach every single member of the registrars office, they all have an attitude that this is not their problem, when in reality each and every person working in that office should have in depth knowledge of the forms offered on their website and should make it their duty to inform the proper channels of a necessary update. So after arguing with multiple members of the staff, and informing them that tax payers are owed accurate information, they finally printed out a birth certificate for me (instead of requiring mail) and the worker "Joel" then told me that "this was a one time deal" after he told me to "shut up" on the phone. Sorry Joel but that isn't how government works. You have responsibilities, and constituents are due accurate...

Very nice when I called from Florida to get my birth certificate with an expired license!! I do have to mail in a request, but she told me it won't be a problem even though its 5 months expired! But to hurry up before it is 6 months expired... at first I thought I had to go to TOWN OF BABYLON & I COULDN'T EVEN GET THROUGH TO A PERSON FOR 2 DAYS!!! Then my Uncle told me I had to call Town of Islip!! Thank God!! They are so much easier!! Town of Babylon said the license and/state ID HAS TO BE VALID everywhere on their website!! I can't get the license renewed without the birth certificate or get a state ID without it! Thank you Town of Islip.. And they said they turn around the Birth Certificate request in 48 hours.. ...

The ladies here are super knowledgeable and helpful. Saved me time and money on obtaining my document from another state. In these times it's nice to run into...
