Screen broke. Went in for a new phone. The lady was shocked and irritated that I didn't have a back up phone, which I don't understand what she means by a back up phone. She kept walking away from me like I had the plague. She then tells me that she'll send me a text with a code. I remind her that my screen is unusable. She proceeds to tell me to call 611 from my phone to change the pass code. I remind her again that my screen is unusable. The last straw was when she asked for my drivers license (I've never had any phone company ask me for it) and then told me to call a number from my phone. Like how many times do I need to tell you and show you that my screen is not usable? I just said thank you and left.
Update: My husband went in today. He walked up to one lady on a computer. She completely ignored him for some time. She then acknowledged his existence and began helping him. She asked for a driver's license. It's expired, but his home state says its still valid as long as his military ID is valid. She called over another lady and both began talking trash about how his driver's license is expired, while he's standing right in front of them. They ended up calling a number and the woman on the phone asked the most outrageous questions. She was informed that he was active duty and that his current phone screen was smashed. She proceeded to ask what his old email was, which he's had multiple, the top 5 people he calls, top 5 people he texts, and what the address that the phone was originally connected to. He didn't know any due to the various emails, people he talks to, and places he's lived. She then tells him to look it up on his phone.... how hard is it for people to understand that the screen DOES NOT WORK! Now here's the most chilling part and the reason we will be canceling our services. The lady tells my husband that she is accessing his Gmail account and to tell her every state he has ever been in. That is beyond personal and at&t should not have access to that information. Also, HE'S IN THE MILITARY. He has been to well over 10 states. Absolutely absurd...
Read moreSo this comment has nothing to do with the service inside the actual store . Nothing applies to the personell inside the store. This is directly towards AT&T in general. I’ve been with AT&T for over a year now and thought their service was adequate. Come to find out that my discount wasn’t even applied for the entire time with them. They applied my discount for military on my very first payment. So I never figured to check since everyone in the store were nice and showed me that it was applied . Ever since after the first initial payment, it was taken off. Once I found out I came into the store to fix it . They tried and said it was fixed. I waited for the next month to roll by and now I’m even paying more than ever for trying to fix my issues. Had to use the 611 number which is really bad in my opinion cause 75% of the time , I can never hear them, never answer and hang up, or call and end up cutting out their call. I finally get in contact their service and was able to fix my discount issue , or so I think . Still have to wait til next month . Now I talk to them and see about receiving my money back for taking extra money that doesn’t belong to them. Waiting for over 2 hours going through their service , loyalty team and was told they wouldn’t refund me other then 3 months of credits . What am I supposed to use those credits for beside in their store. AT&T stole my money from someone that is currently serving in the military. And I really didn’t want to type all of this but I’m just very disappointed at this point. Honestly thought they could work with me due to my situation, but I guess I was wrong. My recommendation is never to use AT&T unless you want to be ripped off and have them take your hard earned money...
Read moreI tried Mint but didn't get good service so I went to the store to change back to ATT. I had the account and PIN to transfer my number. I was doing one year prepaid and needed to get a SIM card. Salesperson claimed the plan I wanted didn't exist. After I pointed out the large sign advertising the plan he said there was fine print and I needed four lines. I pulled up the website showing that was not the case. He then said the plan does exist but it's not enough data (I had the plan for three years before trying Mint). He kept saying "yo, you just not listening." Exasperated, I asked to just buy the SIM and do it myself. He refused (I'd gotton my original SIM from this same store buying an earlier version of the plan) and told me to go to Walmart. Walmart was sold out. I ended up re-signing with Mint so I wouldn't lose my number. When I described the incident to a coworker they knew exactly the employee I was talking about, so I don't think this was a one off. Very...
