One employee Richard seems to have an issue with helping customers. I am a loyal Auto Zone customer, Luis, is always so helpful in the 3 years I have lived here. He wasn't not working on the 2 times in past 2 weeks I have came in. First time. Check engine light came on. Stopped by because they usually have wonderful customer service. Richard approaches me, i let him know situation and I need a part. He scans car, tells me what he thinks I need. We go to back of store and he is showing me parts that would help, but I noticed his fingers not moving on package... I did tell him my make is a Dodge. He tells me this is the part you need. Im going to trust him. He rings it up tells me how much I owe and escorts me outside. Wonderful I think im going to get assistance in changing the part! He opens the part and tells me, compares it to the original part and its a little too big. He is willing to cut it, but if he does I cannot return it. Ok I am going to trust the employee. Its time to put the part in my car, I ask if he can help me since Im too short to reach back of engine... No I can't help you, its against policy to touch your vehicle. Than the worst part... Don't you have a boyfriend who can help you???? No sir, I have a husband deployed in a war zone since December, unfortunately he can't help me. So I take the part from him, move my car closer to store so I can step on curb and go to install it. Guess what it doesn't fit whatsoever. I look at the package that Richard grabbed for me, its a Ford part?? Now I made the mistake of not looking at what he grabbed, and let him cut it so I'm out the $15. Ill take that as my mistake, but his comment so not necessary! Second time, come to get windshield wipers, Richard is here again. No one else is around to help. I know I need wipers and there is a book to look it up, not even asking for help. He comes over and says he can do it faster on computer. Ok save me some time. He prints up all the ones I can use. I find the size and brand I want. I cash out and ask him if he can help remove the old ones, they were a different brand that I didn't install and I couldn't unclip them, another sexist rude comment, he can't touch my vehicle and O should find myself a man to do this for me. For the first time in my life someone help me financially and save me from embarrassment of not having debt card at check out. It was very cold night I went to auto zone to buy key battery for my car when he ring my item I looked into my wallet and couldn’t find my card and I needed that battery that night I told Brian hey man I don’t have my debit card on me and I have to drive to my house to get it. He looked at me and said we’ve ATM machine by the corner but I told him that the cards in my wallet aren’t my debit cards and he politely said you don’t have to go home I can help you and he reached to his wallet got his card and slide it and pay for my purchase I was astonished and speechless that someone can pay for my stuff without knowing me. Read moreJust awful. We ordered parts for our car online. We accidently ordered the wrong part, before we ordered we called and made sure we could return our product. When we went to return the lady had NO idea boe to return an online order. It took us 30 minutes with our cranky children to see how we can find her what she needed even though the item had everything on it she needed. She just needed to open the box. On top of that we asked for a battery. Asked for make and model and everything and she got it wrong. We bought a battery that didn't go with our vehicle. I'm sure on our return we will have issues as well. If you need to get your car parts apparently you gotta do everything yourself.
