Lockport Outdoor Store — Local services in Town of Lockport

An incredible store with incredible, extremely helpful service & people! I was there a couple of weeks ago looking for a proper pair of winter boots, a nice pair of sweat wicking, warm socks for the new boots & a rain repellent hoodie. One of the sales people overheard me speaking with a good friend who brought me there about how frustrated I was, because boots I've bought in Canada over the years start to leak after only a year or two. I needed something easy to put on & take off, because I had just been diagnosed with ALS this past January. The problem I have is that the muscles in my hands & arms are slowly atrophying. This makes handling shoes & other clothes very difficult to put on & take off. I always need help, but I was looking to do things myself as much as I can. The help I received at the Lockport Outdoor Store was an 11 on a 1 to 10 scale! I was even given a special item that allows me to put the heel of my boot, without damaging it, into it so I can step on it & lift my foot out of my boot! This is a store for jackets & boots, sweaters, etc., for both men & women. Trust me when I say that I would try here first before going anywhere else for these clothing types! Over the years I lost track of the original Lockport Outdoor Store in Lockport proper & I was buying clothes in Canada when my wife & I would go to Toronto. The quality of product sold at the Lockport Outdoor Store, as well as the incredible service & personal care, far outweigh what I thought was exceptional clothing in Canada, or anywhere else, as well as online. We are all VERY lucky to have a store like this so...

Huge store almost filled to the rafters with quality outdoor clothing, footwear and accessory gear. Carhartt authorized dealer with examples of just about every product that they make right in store - great for the tradesman or cold weather workers especially. Cold weather, wet weather gear is a particular specialty of theirs.

Tons of footwear choices as well... casual, heavy duty, work and safety and specialty boots in a wide variety of sizes. Hunters and outdoorsmen are really in their element here.

First time. Arriving 9:15 a m yesterday. Tolg clerk n My son would be right in, he is looking for work boots/work shoes but while we are waiting my I see some winter slip on boots, ankle high. Clerk asked the size, told him I believe 11, he presented me with 10 and a half and said try these on. My son select a pair of composite toe sneakers. The clerk never measured either of us. The rea L thing that was the "cherry on the top" was the clerk gave my son the wrong work sneakers which we discovered when we got home (Kenmore.)We drove back, my son spoke with another clerk who said he gave you last year's model. He corrected the wrong. I also need to say that the first clerk kept disappearing on us and seemed more interested in finding other customers to wait on before completing our sale.
