Oh my.. hubby and I took a chance. Let me just say you feel VERY unwelcomed being here by the staff. They look so angry all the entire time and is visually annoyed that you walked in. The waterfall picture at our table says “you break you pay for it” written on it twice, right in your face. Sadly, their young kids are working as well who seem absolutely miserable as I don’t blame them. They’re kids!. The food was DISGUSTING and OLD!! Like days old!!! Super dry. There was barley any food out and if there was, it was sitting in a fridge for days and reheated over and over. There was NO RICE!!? How is there no rice ant a Chinese buffet? They didn’t even care to refill it!!! There was only a little at the bottom of a rice cooker that had a fowl taste (the peas in the rice were hard dehydrated and brown. Clearly old.) There was literally barley any food options out and they didn’t bother to replenish anything!!!! Anything!!!!! (mind you it was 7pm on a Tuesday prime dinner time and the place was dead.) ALL of the food was old, dry, and masked with sauce to try and hide it. Te audacity in this place is beyond me. The desert options were a joke. They had nothing. They did have two little puffy things leftover that were so dry they should have been thrown out days ago. You couldn’t even chew it! The whip cream on the top of them were so old it was flaking off…! Everything else was empty, aside from weird mystery pudding and slimy fruit. Between horrible unwelcomed service and potentially dangerous expired food, what truly makes me want to NEVER come back again, is that our server asked if I wanted more soda, she also asked the man behind us and she took both of our cups angrily at the same time to the soda machine.. (they are the same kind of cups with straws) I literally watched her take our cups and fill them up and give them back to us not even knowing or caring who’s cup was who’s…! I pulled the straw out of mine to take a sip because the thought of getting someone else’s used cup and straw was horrifying, as I took a sip I immediately realized this was NOT my cup!!!!!!!!! Whatever was left in the man’s cup behind me, was at the bottom of the cup I revived with just my soda choice poured over it!!!!!!! ABSOLUTELY UNSANITARY AND DISGUSTING!!!!! I was so shocked and beside myself that we didn’t even say a word… paid...
Read moreI've been going to Hong Kong buffet for years now I've never complained about it never thought the food was disgusting I always thought it was amazing fresh and just good. But tonight when I went I can't say the same. The food was disgusting dry not fully cooked it wasn't fresh (and I'm not hating on the restaurant) but I've never have had bad food from that restaurant and tonight it just flipped the old food was slathered in new sauce just to hide the fact that it's old and the drinks didn't taste the same. I was eating with a spoon and it smelt like sweat and honestly I've always loved this place. But this time it changed I don't know what happened the food was just really disgusting old and not the best there was no rice except for a crusty tiny bit I got some of the chicken and there was a gray pea in the chicken (don't try the imitation crab) after I was done with my second plate which only had like two things on it I was about ready to throw up and then I bit down into a mushroom and it had like this crusty stuff in it the please don't eat the shrimp!!! I had some ice cream and honestly I don't think that the ice cream scooper being in that metal thing full of water just flowing down constantly and the same dirty water reusing it when other people have just used it and that's pretty much it the workers are actually really nice and greet you in a nice gesture but all I have to say is please refill the old crusty food with new food!!!! I hate to say it but I'm probably...
Read moreI ordered pork fried rice on a Tuesday night and it was so good I wished I had more. Very soft and fresh. Only complaint, at the bottom of the container was a lot more flavor than at the top, And not in a good way. It also seemed a little extra greasy but wasn't a deal breaker.
I ordered the same thing next Friday afternoon and the the rice and pork were a little too dry, especially compared to the first experience. And once again at the bottom of the container had way too much flavor and I couldn't finish the last 4 or 5 bites.
When I called the order in and the person on the phone sounded bothered. But walking in for the pick up the woman was pleasant.
I wasn't going to leave a review because I only tried this place twice for take out but after seeing all the negative reviews in the last few months, I figured I'll leave one.
I will try one more time, But after seeing all these bad reviews I'm a little wary. Will update after third.
Update: Months later and after the restaurant posted a reply to this review, I tried the same dish for the third time. I don't remember what day or time it was other than lunch time but my pork fried rice wasn't dry or too moist and I didn't notice any extra flavoring at the bottom of the container. So I changed my rating from 3 stars to 4 stars. Forgot to mention, so far I've discovered they have the lowest price for the same dish of same size in this area. I will be coming back for more! Thanks...
