I can not put into words how absolutly amazing Kith and Kin Bakeshop & Bistro is!! If your looking to dine in or take out on the most delicious meals that are actually doing your body well, this is where you'll want to go! The atmosphere is perfect great space for just one or many. The service is the best, your always greeted with a smile, they love to explain what all the goodies in the case are and more importantly never make you feel rushed! There are so many Delicious homemade meals and desserts! There is something for everyone! For those that are leery of gluten-free or vegan foods treat yourself and your palate to the wonderful creations at Kith & Kin. A friend of mine had her wedding catered by Kith and Kin and nobody knew that anything was gluten-free or vegan and couldn't stop raving about how amazing the food was. It's just so good to know that I can go and order something that would usually make me sick at regular other pizza shops, sandwich shops and such places however ordering from Kith&Kin I don't have that heavy feeling after I eat I don't have any kind of stomach pains or you know just feel rotten feeling because I had indulged in some kind of fried food or large samwitch and soup, when you order any kind of food from here they work some kind of beautiful magic back in that kitchen from the selection of product and portion size to the dipping or side sauces and the presentation. I can assure you there will be something there for you to fall in love with! Hands down the best bakeshop and...
Read moreI've been Celiac for 25+ years.... Best best best food I've ever had! Perogies? Chicken Pot Pie! OMG!!! I've just found this place, so trying things out. Sadly for my hips, I haven't found anything bad. I have non-Celiac/gluten free food snobs in my family. Their weakness is puff pastry. Brought home a cream puff with custard, didn't tell them from where and they loved it! Whatever you've done with your flour, especially pastry flour is amazing!
I am very hesitant to mention just how good the Friday Fish Fry is. Part of me wants to say it's amazing, to commend the owners. The other part of me wants to keep it a secret, so there's no line on Friday. It has also been 25+ years since I've had a a fish fry. I've had some Ian's frozen battered fish, so not the same thing. Salmon, grilled fish etc. but being from Western NY - Friday Fish Fry's is a standard meal that I always loved. The batter was amazing and fish cooked to perfection.
How are you guys not on Dinner Drive-in & Dives, or The Splendid Table etc. ? Time for me to get a bigger freezer. On a happy/sad note, you also made me miss my Mom something terrible. She was an amazing cook and baker and would (try some times) make me gluten-free food, including German food and Pasta. Your food felt like it was cooked with love and care and made me think of and miss her (with very fond memories since she...
Read moreUpdate: came back to a cottage on Lake Ontario so we could eat at this restaurant a year later! And guess what - the food is still so incredible, we had 3 meals in a row at this lovely restaurant. The cinnamon rolls are still to die for. The cabbage roll soup of the day was incredible! +++ recommend for gluten free buddies and anyone.
Original review: Food so good, we came back the next day! We were near this town for a weekend getaway, and found this place while searching for celiac/gluten free options. It’s both a bakery and restaurant, with dine in and take out options. Over the 2 days, we ordered the following: Friday fry fish (look at the size of that piece!), Chicken fried chicken burger with zuppa toscana soup and sautéed vegetables, the app sampler (fried pickles, chicken strips, mozzarella sticks, and garlic bread), and the cubano panini with more sautéed vegetables - all of it absolutely delicious. From the bakery we got sugar cookie, cinnamon roll, cheesecake, and a marshmallow cookie thing - also all incredibly delicious. We got more zuppa toscana to go and 2 strombolis for the freezer. Will be visiting again when we’re...
