First time dining here. Let me just say, the food is just spectacular. The lowlight of the meal was the prime rib which wasnt bad at all. Though my piece was a bit fatty, its prime rib and was still very tasty. Their homemade bread was stellar. Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside and a great homemade flavor. I bought 2 loaves to go when we left. Our table ordered 3 different types of soup, and the opinion was clear; their soups are outstanding. I gave a little giggle when I saw the portion, which was a bit small, but the taste and flavor were spot on. I tried the southwest soup and it was incredible. Our appetizers followed. We ordered the stuffed mushrooms and fried zucchini. The chef nailed this as well. The breading on the zucchini was light and flavorful and the flavors in the stuffed mushrooms were well thought and delicious. The salad was almost unwelcomed as we had gone through a few courses already, but I'm glad I ate it. It was basic, with italian dressing that left me ready for my entree. Again, the prime rib was good, but the starters were perfection so it was hard to top. The only thing I could constructively criticize about would be the mashed potatoes. They could've used a bit more flavor. Next time I will try a different side. Their dessert selection is also sizable and I tried the blueberry peach pie. I didnt finish it, but it was a nice end. The service was good, not great, but they were busy. The meal was so good it did not matter. Overall a great dining experience and cannot wait...
Read moreThis was a first time for me, and while I fully understand that Friday nights are usually very busy and hectic, I feel the restaurant tries too hard to cram as many customers in as they can, which reduces the overall comfort of the experience. Atmosphere was very very loud, especially for someone like me with a hearing disability.
The food was amazing in flavor, but I ordered a Reuben sandwich made with the roast beef, and it feels like they went really light on both the beef and the saurkraut. My sandwich felt small in comparison to the massive portions that everyone else had.
I really wanted to ask for it to be remade, but out of respect for the staff and their busy night, I did not.
On the topic of staff, I'm legitimately impressed. They worked amazingly well under the pressure of the busy night, remained attentive and punctual, extremely friendly and easy to work with. Arguably one of the best experiences I've had with staff. Raises all around, you can not find a better team of...
Read moreWe have had the pleasure of catering to this fine restaurant for many years and the only thing that changes is it gets better and better. The soups are off the chart on delicious, super hot, loaded with scrumptious veggies and bread, fresh baked and lots of butter.
Main entrees every meal is loaded with top choice meat and homemade mashed potatoes or cut fries, of course there’s rice and assortment of other side dishes.
Lastly, they bake the pies onsite and as soon as you walk into the restaurant the pie case is there to greet you...save room because you will never be disappointed.
The restaurant is spotlessly clean...clean...clean, the staff are friendly, efficient and attentive to you, they want you to be happy, filled and pleased so you can return. Prices are fair are they less than any other restaurant, I don’t know, BUT I do know the quality, quantity and delicious food is at the Fieldstone...
