I called Ace hardware for a part today in baldansville and talked to Will. He Told me they had the part I needed and I was driving out from the other side of Syracuse. He also told me that it would be on hold and the customer service area. Anyways, I get out there and I have this one sales person ask what I needed. I told him what was going on. I told him I talked to Will about this. He contacted Will and I overheard him say he didn't put the part to the side. Sales person goes to a area where there's small toilet parts. And I try to exsplaine I'm ordering a large container valve. And I was just dumbfounded. It seemed like nobody knew what they were talking about or even what was going on. The salesperson I talked to was very arrogant but pretended to know what he's talking about but didn't. This is the first time I've had any issues with the store and over a course of 40 plus years. I don't know what's wrong with people today. They pretend they know what they're talking about and when they do they waste people's time. So when I yelled Will thanks for helping me sarcastically when I was leaving the store. This post is for you for...
Read moreIt's great there. I go on Sunday afternoons, and I enjoy just looking at new products. It's my toy store. Employees are very friendly and helpful. Selection is outstanding and usually there when you need it. Top name brands are present, along with Ace branded stuff as well. It's a little crowded sometimes, but manageable. Some prices on off season products could be lowered? That's just an idea to clean off old stock. Price reduced items are present at the store, but you won't find your " Diamond in the rough." Love the place. Expensive with some items, but for me, it's fine. It helps pay for the fine employees they have. Best advice if you go? Take a bus or Uber. The parking lot is a mess and very compact. Ace owns the majority of the lot, I believe, but other very successful places surround it, and it's very chaotic and dangerous. Your best safety option is to park yonder, past the new auto store that Baldwinsville...
Read moreI have supported Ace hardware as the underdog store for many years and preferred giving my business to them over big box stores. That ends now. Yesterday my wife and I were doing a job in Clay and we went to the Ace hardware store in Baldwinsville to pick up supplies. She needed to use a bathroom and two associates (a male and a female) refused to allow her to, saying “we don’t have a public restroom”. I pressed the guy to behave like a human being and he still refused to let her use the bathroom. If you can’t behave like human beings and treat others like human beings, then screw your store. It’s one thing to refuse a bathroom for a man because we can go anywhere— but to refuse service to a woman displays a repugnant quality that your company has stooped to and I will no longer be...
