Driving along today when the dreaded check engine light came on...drove right to my local O'Reillys and was met by Wyatt. I had an idea what it was, and he helped us diagnose the code to be sure. He looked up the parts, had them in stock, showed me what I needed to get them installed myself. Got everything I needed and go the car fixed in a few minutes and back to enjoying my weekend. I am a in my 60’s and very little knowledge regarding cars . I was directed by my son to go to O’Reilly Auto parts to get my check engine checked out. The young man was very helpful and gave me a printout of what the problem was. I Went to my mechanic and showed him the printout and was told they have no opening , maybe tomorrow or it will be the following week before they can look at it. Went back home and when I went to start up my car it was totally dead tried jumping it with no luck. I went back to O’Reilly’s and they were so patient and gave me some direction . Adam and Jackie were absolutely amazing. I’m trying to teach myself how to take care of my car on my own, and I went to get DOT 3 fluid and they not only told me what I needed to do but 1.) Jackie came out with me and taught me some of the parts and purposes under my hood, brought out their funnel to use, and 2.) Adam offered to be a helpful standby after helping retract some of the liquid (I poured a little too much), if there’s anything I ever need to operate on my car in the future they can be a second hand for help.
