OWNER IS RACIST. My 5-year old daughter and I were very excited to paint at the Earth Goods Pottery store. The first night we tried to paint at Earth Goods we were actually kicked out by the owner. All of the customer doors were open and only two people were at the tables painting. The owner immediately approached my daughter and I and asked us to leave due to a “private event”. The next night, we returned and the owner set up our workplace. For the remainder of the evening she hovered over and stared at us, without making any gesture to help resupply materials or assist my 5-year old in painting. I had a strong sense that the owner was sure I was a criminal based off the color of my skin. To top off the most unwelcoming visit I’ve had at a Minocqua business, the owner didn’t believe the credit card in my wallet was mine. I had to prove to the owner who I was because she was sure someone like me couldn't afford a $16 product.
