Love this place. A lot A LOT LOT. We don’t get up to Minocqua for touristy related reasons— we get up there for family. The main reason we are likely to head into town and leave of our family’s home? To hit Imaginuity. Seriously. When my grandma was still able to slip my kids a 20, it was almost immediately spent here! They have such an incredible selection, and considering the small business nature of this place, the prices are completely reasonable. We live in between two pretty major cities and nowhere near us is a toy store as cool as Imaginuity! And certainly nowhere with such an extensive collection of great toys, games, activities. This place is not filled with junk just to encourage mindless dollars spent. This place is chock-full of thoughtful, quality, engaging items. Stuff that lasts, and won’t be tossed in the trash within a few days.
I’ve been a fan of this place since I was a child living in Manitowish Waters when it was Whoops…then in Minocqua and now there as Imaginuity. We’re all so excited to see how this place with make use of the former Polecat...
Read moreWe visit Imaginuity every summer when we visit Minocqua and absolutely love it! There is a great selection of toys, books, and games that encourage critical thinking skills and imagination. My children love to save up their money to buy a new toy or two from this store & the employees are always so patient and kind to them. We usually let our children count out their own money to pay for their purchases, and one of the employees actually thanked me for letting our children do that (even though there was a small line behind us). Thank you, Imaginuity, for being a happy and wonderful place for children and their families to explore...
Read moreWhen this store goes under, realize it is due to their own stupidity. On 11/13/21 they turned a shopper, grandmother of 4 out of their store for refusing to wear a mask. I am that grandmother who, wanting to support a local establishment attempted to shop for Christmas. It became extremely obvious that Imaginuity is as fake as their name, some cute take on imagination, I suspect. I am happy to report that my grandchildren will not be subjected today or any other day to a warped notion that stands to substitute a fake culture in place of the imagination and...
