Holy awesome! I love history and am glad we swung into this museum! The women working the floor knew their stuff and the gentleman who took us downstairs to view the real life size version of the area from the settlement times was informational. We learned a lot about the area here before even starting to explore the town. Would 10/10 recommend.

So cute! An excellent source of local history, very well maintained and the people working there are all sweet and an excellent representation of the locals in the area. My grandfather wrote a book called “My Minocqua” which can be seen at this museum, and my grandmother volunteered here for a year or two before she passed. I know she loved her time volunteering here, and anyone can see why. It’s free so you loose nothing just by stopping in to see the rich history...

What a fantastic place to visit, for adults and children! I have lived in the Northwoods year round for 20 years...first time for me. Beautiful and well maintained structure. Volunteers show you around or you can drift through the rooms. Mike was my guide, knowledgeable and friendly...thanks again! Outstanding miniature train and downtown Minocqua display from the early 1900's. Charitable...
