I had some of my late mother's jewelry to sell a couple of months ago. I read a lot of reviews and talked to a lot of people before choosing Cowan's. And I am so very glad I did. This was near the start of the pandemic, but Jeff and Denise were so welcoming and were very careful about masks, cleaning and keeping a safe distance. Once that wasn't a worry, Jeff worked with me on each and every piece. He didn't look at the jewelry as just a pile of money, he engaged me in conversation about some of the pieces and made me feel that he truly cared about the fact that he was putting a piece of someone's history in his hands in order to provide the sale. We talked for quite some time and showed me some of the history of the store and newspaper clippings of years ago. They are a family business in every sense. And when you walk into Cowan's, they make you feel like part of that family; that you made the right choice. He gave me an upgrade coupon that he runs in the Val-packs, so he was able to give me even more for my pieces. It was a big surprise when he told me their worth. Additionally, the store is filled with every type of jewelry you could think of. Case after case of both classic items and some real rare finds. I without a doubt made the right choice to go with Cowan's and I will be back there for some purchases and repairs as well. AMAZING!! So 2 days ago I received a call from Jeff letting me know that my grandmothers ring that she had left me after her passing was ready to be picked up. Like a kid on Christmas I was filled with excitement . I couldn’t wait to get there. My husband and daughter came with me as they were just as invested and also excited. We were greeted by his wife with a warm smile.. and yes I could tell despite her mask 🙂…and kind words. Jeff met us at the counter. Remembering their conversation the last time we were there, he asked my daughter about school and he and my husband chatted briefly about work.. all the while the anticipation building. As he pulled the ring from its envelope he seemed to be just as excited as he knows my family and the history behind this ring. He slipped the heirloom on my finger and overwhelmed with emotion I began to cry. It was Beautiful! Exceptional! Stunning! I wanted to get my engagement and wedding rings reset for our 25th wedding anniversary, but could not trust this special project to just anyone! When researching jewelers, I saw that Cowans had over one hundred five star reviews. I figured I could at least go in for a consultation! When my husband and I walked into Cowans we were warmly welcomed by the owners, Jeff and Denise. Jeff spent a lot of time listening to what I wanted, showing me a variety of options and giving me his professional insight into how I could get the exact result I was looking for. I left there feeling completely confident that Jeff would bring my vision to life ... He kept me abreast of the entire process along the way. Jeff created a custom wedding band for me and upon completion had me come in to be sure it was exactly what I wanted before continuing on with the setting for my engagement ring . I went to pick up the completed project yesterday and it FAR EXCEEDED my expectations! If I could give Cowans 10 stars I would!
