I came to eat here during their grand opening at noon on a Wednesday and they gave out a goodie bag and free dessert. I have never been to their other locations, so I had no idea what to expect. The menu is on a tablet which can be overwhelming at first but easy to get use to. It had a great ambiance with colorful lights and signs everywhere to set a cheerful atmosphere. There is a also a rectangle Koi pond in the back with a Buddha statue, which I believe is in all their other locations. The service was great, aside from the fact that they were really trying to sell their lunch specials which is honestly a good deal but we weren't interested in the entrees, and the servers and manager kept checking in on us to make sure we had a great experience. The food was good as well.
For the drinks we ordered the Jade's Pink Dream and Thai Iced Tea. Jade's Pink Dream was a little bitter and there seemed to be a lot of clashing flavors, but overall wasn't bad. They showcased it in a glass case with smoke before serving it to us which was pretty cool. The Thai Iced Tea was milky but not creamy and didn't have enough tea flavor, but I still enjoyed it.
We decided to order some appetizers to try. We ordered the Sushi Pizza, Rock shrimp, Kai Chi, and Calamari - but they told us last minute that didn't have Calamari which was a blessing because me and my girlfriend were really full from the other three appetizers. The Sushi Pizza was creamy but the spicy tuna wasn't spicy at all and didn't have the kick that pushes you to eat more. I found myself needing to use the soy sauce to give it adequate flavor. The Rock shrimp was good but I feel like it didn't have enough sauce. I probably should have mixed it to distribute the sauce evenly. The Kai Chi was the best of the bunch, with the scallions and garlic really punching through. It was very flavorful and the meat comes right off the bone, very satisfying to eat. I really recommend this dish. As for the complimentary dessert, the chocolate cake was heavy and sweet and the cheesecake was light but didn't have enough cheese flavor in my opinion. I also saw that it was served from a package but I understand a lot of restaurants outsource their desserts.
Overall, for being their first day opened, I think they did a great job. The atmosphere is great and some dishes and beverages might need some slight tweaking to reach perfection, but I had a good time...
Read moreUpdate 6/14/25: Daisy and Kumar- most of your response to my review seems to be about a refund that was issued. NO REFUND IN ANY AMOUNT was ever issued by Jade or received by me. It took four (4) days after the event for you to get back to me. The event was on Saturday. You texted back on Wednesday the following week. Yes, I said the restaurant is not kid-friendly. My daughter and her guests are teenagers, not small children. Again- this only confirms how disorganized and unprofessional your business is run. The tone and false statements in your response speaks volumes about how this establishment treats its customers.
Had a very negative experience at Jade PW recently. We had a large gathering and so many things from making the reservation to paying the bill went wrong. They cancelled my reservation a week before the event for reasons unknown, a guest had to leave early due to food poisoning even after staff was told about the allergy, they charged for that guest anyway even though they left at the start of event, they charged 20% gratuity even I was told though the prix fix menu included gratuity, the “event coordinator” was not responsive for days at a time (including day of event), they include an additional charge for using CC, they promised to serve a cake I brought but instead left the cake on the table for the guests to cut and serve themselves. When I complained to management after the event, the owner Kumar basically tried to keep me from sharing my experience by offering a refund for a part of the bill. Needless to say, he never honored that offer. The manager at this location is the former manager at the failed restaurant, Diwan, which explains a lot. There are so many quality restaurants in Port- please save your time and money...

I gave Jade two chances. That was one and a half chances too many.
The wasabi looked radioactive, like it belonged in a lab, not on a plate. The soy sauce? Tasted like it was bottled in a Temu warehouse under the label “Brown Liquid, Salty?” And the rolls — massive, gimmicky, overloaded with rice. At one point, I wasn’t sure if I was eating sushi or a sad carb brick.
The fish looked fresh but gave off that unmistakable spiritually farmed energy. One roll claimed to have seared tuna. What it actually had was tuna that tasted like it had been attacked with a blowtorch during a kitchen fire. The aftertaste was straight-up butane.
Service was chaotic. We had no idea who our server was because five different people visited the table at random. Plates were taken mid-bite. One guy just stood there. I think he was waiting for me to apologize for coming in.
Then there was the vibe. A sign inside said “Don’t Get Jaded, Let’s Get Faded,” which pretty much summed it up. It felt like a place designed to encourage drunk driving. The branding wants to be edgy and upscale, but it’s giving “Toku knockoff run by a vape shop intern.”
And the bathroom. Sticky floors, puddles of unknown origin, general filth. I hovered like I was at a gas station off the BQE and washed my hands like I’d just performed surgery.
As someone who’s eaten at almost every restaurant on this side of Long Island, I can confidently say this isn’t sushi. It’s performance art, and not the good kind.
If you’re craving good sushi, skip the gimmicks. And...
