Very disappointed 2day Sept 10 2023.. My daughter had a 345pm appt. We went 2 New Hyde Park..We got there on time ..My daughter was told 2 have a seat...I went 2 sit at the waiting section w my other daughter...5 mins later ..another customer comes in saying she called 4 an appt at 345pm...she was getting a trim and blow....then comes another customer w the same appt at 345pm...Mind u ..there's only 2 hairdressers...so the 2nd customer pays and says she 4got 2 mention she needed 2 wash her hair washed...It is now 410pm..My daughter is still waiting...then I said ..w all due respect...but we made the online appt for 345pm..not my problem that there's only 2 hairdressers and not my problem if they overbooked online and by phone...nxt thing u know...ALL 4 WOMEN..THE 2 HAIRDRESSERS AND CUSTOMERS R TALKING ABOUT ME!!!! MY DAUGHTERS HEARD THEM AND I REMAINED CALM...so 1 hairdresser says 2 me.."WHAT IF THIS WAS A DOCTOR'S OFFICE"???!!!! HOW CAN A HAIRCUTTING JOINT COMPARE THEMSELVES 2 A DOCTORS OFFICE???!!! AND AGAIN..ALL 4 WOMEN TALKING ABOUT ME!!!! I HAVE NEVER BEEN SO ANGRY OR DISRESPECTED IN SUCH A WAY...I HAD 2 WALK OUT...I WAS AFRAID OF EMOTIONS RUINING MY DAUGHTERS HAIR.. I KNOW THAT 1 HAIRDRESSER WAS ANA...THE OTHER WAS WEARING ALL DENIM ..JEANS AND A JACKET W WHITE LACE SLEEVES...AGAIN ..I AM EXTREMELY OFFENDED AND DISAPPOINTED... I HAVE BEEN GOING THERE SINCE THE BELL BLVD SALON WAS SHUT DOWN DUE 2 THE PLANDEMIC...AND WE LIVE IN BAY TERRACE. ..WE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM..WE ALWAYS LEAVE W A SMILE ON OUR FACES... THESE 2 WERE NOT THE REGULAR HAIRDRESSERS I KNOW. I WILL GIVE IT 5 STARS DUE 2 CLEANLINESS AND OTHER STAFF...BUT 2DAY IS A 0 STAR RATING.    Read more**UPDATE 5/18/19: Not even a day after I posted my review about a month ago when I received a call from supercut new hyde park... was told that it was not their fault that my hair was messed up and told to wait for my hair to grow back before coming back. Was also told that it was my fault for not saying anything. I would just like to say that they were lucky that I didn't even ask for a refund and I even tipped the lady $10 to get my hair "fixed" after they messed up the first time, so I spent a total of almost $40 for a haircut that they mess up on twice. Yes, Supercut is more budget friendly but that doesnt mean cheaper price equals to poor service. I use to pay about $50 for hair cuts in upstate NY so it's not like the price is an issue but the poor service. I will be a bit petty and mentioned that I didn't even get the hot towel refresher that comes with the supercut I. Forget about waiting for my hair to grow before going back...one, I am never going back there again. Two, please work on customer service and also properly training your stylists since they can't even do a proper Bob. And three, customers put down their phone number to make an appointment, not for you to use to call them to tell them it's the clients fault that their hair was messed up.
Was a walk in and requested a shoulder length layered bob cut. Ended up with a uneven choppy mess that I did not notice until after I took a shower the next morning. One side was longer than the other while my right side...don't even have words to describe it. Went back the next day after I got off work to see if they can make it even on both side. I didnât try all the services listed and believe me they offer a lot with all different kinds of pricing. I just wanted a traditional haircut which is the first on their service board for $27. The beard trimming was an additional $10 and I paid $40 with card adding tip to it. The salon as they call it was worked only by woman exclusively. There was a waiting area by the window which took me 5 minutes before getting checked out and worked on by one of the barbers or salon workers as they prefer to be called. The woman are actually pretty great conversationalists and they understand your relationship with all parts of your body. They ask first about every detail you want done. The ambiance and aroma of the shop was also pretty nice. With that being said there were only about 3 workers in there one of which left like 20 minutes after I came. The place was mediocre size for a franchise shop. Luckily parking wasnât an issue as it was located in front of a shopping complex with a designated lot. Overall I say this place is pretty good for any services beyond haircuts as they donât have traditional materials needed for fades or anything remotely close to the tools of a barber.
