There’s a reason that Dance Arts Centre is a cherished Port Washington institution - for decades, it’s been the go-to destination for those who love, or want to learn, to dance. The teaching staff is second to none; not only are they knowledgeable, but they are so patient and kind towards their students, and you can tell that they really want each dancer to improve, grow, and succeed. The studio was also recently updated, and the new and improved space is spotlessly clean, modern, and welcoming to dancers of all ages. One of the highlights of each year is the annual recital. Every June, they put on an amazing show that’s full of energy, creativity, and heart. It’s a true celebration of the talent and hard work of every dancer, and it never fails to impress! I absolutely love DAC! I can honestly say I wouldn't be the person I am today if it weren't for my time there. It gave me a friendly, loving, safe, inclusive, fun and encouraging environment that help me shed my shyness and develop my self confidence. I learned so much inside and outside of the classroom. Volunteering as a student teacher taught me responsibility and it also helped me develop time management and organization skills because I learned to manage my school work, dance classes and other extracurricular activities. Hello everyone. I do not attend classes at Dance Arts Centre nor does my son. However I know Bari (the owner) because she is my neighbor! SHE DID NOT ASK ME TO REVIEW HER PLACE just saw new posts on FB. Anyway, she is the most altruistic, selfless, compassionate, ambitious human being I have ever encountered. A great mother, wife, daughter, mentor, peer supporter. She changes and affects her students in more ways than just dance instruction. She is genuine, empathetic, and personable.
