They racially profiled me and my boyfriend I was asking about the brow wiz eye pencil and while picking my shade I was watched continuously and was asked if I needed help FIVE TIMES I work in retail I know what this means they though I was going to steal and they said on the headsets to watch ‘them’ meaning me and my boyfriend and while I was browsing trying to shop my boyfriend was checking out the colongene two workers literally stood there and watched him the whole entire time and 3 different workers asked him if he needed help this was a terrible experience it literally made me feel awful after I made my purchases I cried in the car for the way how me and my boyfriend were treated granted I had on sweat pants and a messy bun but that doesn’t meant I’m going going steal the also judged me by my attire it was a busy day in the store and instead of even trying to assist other customers they were so focoused on me and my boyfriend the only two black people in the store who had a total of 8 employees “ ask if they needed help” like I said before I work in retail and I know exactly what they were doing the way how I was treated at this ulta was awful teach your employees to not racially profile and judge people of color or anyone...

Not coming back here anymore. Came here to look for a specific eyeliner, but seen the perfumes right away and started smelling them since I wasn’t familiar with those scents and an employee comes up to me asking if she can help me in an unfriendly manner. Then, I go over to the make up to look for the eye liner that I wasn’t seeing, so I pulled out my phone to look it up because I forgot the brand name and still wasn’t seeing it. So as I was walking out, 15 feet away from me, of whom I didn’t even look at, shouts over “are you okay?”

I felt like I was being watched and treated like I was shop-lifting just because I didn’t purchase anything when I was leaving the store. That’s a big pet peeve of mine. It’s ignorant and unfriendly. Driving business away. That’s why Walgreens, whom I know I got the make up product from last time would have it and just went straight there after leaving to make my purchase. I only stopped at this Ulta location because I was in the area.

I have extremely frustrating hair. It’s very fine and long and wavy. I long ago gave up trying to get it to look nice down. I have tried everything, nothing lets my hair hold volume. Last time I got an updo for a wedding party it took FORTY SEVEN bobby pins to keep it in a messy low bun. It’s awful.

Anyways. I talked to Joey at this ULTA location and told him woes and my hair history. He recommended two products for me and told me exactly how to use them. I was skeptical because literally nothing has ever worked for my hair, I just wear it up all the time.

ANYWAYS. I purchased the two products he recommended - one high endish, one quite affordable. And I’m super impressed!! As you can see here, my hair looks ten zillion times better. Joey is the best! Also he’s so fun and knowledgeable and funny! I will definitely be looking for him on our next trip to ULTA when we cross...
