I recently visited Miko Sushi and was pleased with my overall experience. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was great, although there were a few minor issues that I encountered.
Firstly, I have to say that the food at Miko Sushi is definitely worth trying. The sushi rolls were fresh and flavorful, and the hibachi options were cooked to perfection. However, as the name suggests, the portions were on the smaller side, which may be an issue for some people, especially those who are used to larger food portions in American restaurants.
The environment at Miko Sushi was pleasant, with a nice vibe and ambiance. However, I noticed that there were quite a few loud noises throughout my meal, which I found to be a little distracting. As someone on the spectrum, these constant loud noises did affect me a bit and took away from the overall dining experience.
In terms of service, I found it to be decent. The staff was friendly and accommodating, but I did notice that they seemed a bit impatient at times. They were quick to take our orders and bring out our food, but it would have been nice if they were a bit more attentive and patient with any questions or requests we had.
Despite these minor issues, I do think that Miko Sushi is a great option for a family night out. The variety of options on the menu caters to different tastes and the quality of the food is definitely worth the visit. With a pleasant atmosphere and decent service, it's a nice spot to enjoy a meal with your loved ones.
Overall, I would recommend Miko Sushi for anyone looking to try out some delicious sushi and hibachi dishes. Just keep in mind the smaller food portions and the potential for loud noises in the background. But if you can look past those things, you'll definitely enjoy your experience...
Read moreAte here on Friday night with my family. First time dining at Miko during evening hours, the place was jam packed. Pre pandemic times packed, considerably more than 50%, in fact we didn’t notice a single empty table. The food and service failures at full capacity were nonstop for our 1 hour and 48 minute dining time. I was embarrassed I had suggested this restaurant to my family. We were all tired, hungry and excited to have a wonderful meal together. Instead, service was abysmal. Cold food was warm, hot food was cold. Service was obsolete without the wild waving of arms to grab the attention of slammed staff. 1 appetizer took 45+ mins and was cold. Mid way through our evening we asked the waitress to take our entree order, she said “later, later” and ran off to another table. Luckily we were able to catch the attention of a busboy (15 mins later) to place entree orders since she never returned. Waitress zoomed by said she’d comp two beers for all the trouble, but then later said, “so sorry, Manager said no!” And they remained on the bill, refusing to take them off! Talk about insult to injury, that was just the last straw. Once again, we flagged down a manager, he had little to no remorse for the service challenges we described. He also said the waitress never asked him to comp two beers. When we told him this would be our last time in the restaurant due to our failure packed dining experience, he was completely indifferent, only explaining the sushi bar was overwhelmed and there was nothing he could do. At the end he reluctantly agreed to take the two beers off (one untouched), we declined - we were DONE.DONE. DONE by that point. I have no love for an establishment that places such little value on customer experience. Greedy and myopic way to run a...
Read moreI hate leaving a bad review, but this location has so many glowing reviews for gluten free food and I have had too many bad experiences. I would say do NOT go here on a busy Friday or Saturday night and expect good service for allergies. I was yelled at by a hibachi waitress claiming I didn't clearly state my food couldn't be cooked on the same grill as "regular" food even though I told her I had a severe gluten allergy and couldn't have any cross contact with gluten ingredients. She basically told me well that's what I ordered so they're cooking it on this grill with everyone elses gluten lo mein noodles until I explained for the 10th time that I would get insanely sick and simply refused to eat it. She huffed and finally got me a plate from the back, but I felt so uneasy about the whole experience for a place so highly rated for gluten free.
In another instance I ordered take out sushi asking for gluten free, no crunchies no regular soy sauce. The receipt clearly said gluten free for all items and each takeaway box had a gluten free sticker label. I took one bite and immediately realized there were crunchies in the sushi. I called back to ask if they had gluten free crunchies and they said no those definitely contain gluten..... She said she could either remake the sushi and I could come back to pick it up, or she could give me a credit for my next visit but not a refund...
Honestly super disappointing service. If you risk it here and have an allergy be vocal and CHECK YOUR FOOD even if it has a gluten free label. It's such a shame because their sushi is amazing and it's so easy to make gluten free, but even with all the explaining they still keep getting...
