Men's Wearhouse — Local services in Town of Oyster Bay

I want to start off by expressing I am a fan of Men’s Warehouse but with that being said this location is the most pitiful excuse I have seen for a retail business. From the sales reps to being completely incompetent to the tailor ruining the shirts I bought and forcing me to pay an extra $50 a shirt to fix their mistake. From the start the agent fought with me say that I would need an XL because of my neck size, regardless of the fact that it was baggy and made me look like I was wearing my fathers clothes. Then when I pointed out the sleeves were covering the bottom of my hands, he said it is supposed to look like that. I asked if the tailor could bring that in but they ignored my question. When I came back to pick up my clothes I found that the tailor brought in the shirt with the seams on the back, it looked horrifying. I asked the sales rep why they did it like that and he said don’t worry you will be wearing a jacket over it. At this point I get feed up with the worst retail service I have ever experienced and decided to use my local tailor (Mario Di Roma Tailor Shop in Glen Head high recommend). He was able to get the shirt fit correctly and get rid of the disgusting seems on the back. Please use my experience as a warning, don’t give these clowns your time or money. This is one of those places where you need to order with caution! I arrived a month early for a wedding was told that a shirt to go with the order was not available and it would be ordered in to go with my pants being tailored. They asked I come to get the pants towards the end of the month, and that my shirt would be with it. I arrived to pick up my pants and was told it was not ordered and they blamed another store for not shipping instead of owning up to not finalizing on their end. They were able to find same shirt in a different size (not that I had an option at that point) and was told they would follow up and make sure it made it before i had to leave for the wedding. No phone calls , No follow up at all I had to track down the store it shipped from call and push for them to expediate it. So not only do they make the mistake but then they brush you off and make it worse. Try a different location.

UPDATE 09/28- Was told the shirt was on its way and that it would make it on time. It did not and no follow up call from management. The other store who had it wasnt even made aware of the circumstances and so the shirt stayed behind. They continued to brush me off telling me shirt was coming in and to relax. Based on this I will not be in the Wedding Party. So much appreciated Mens Warehouse...

I recently brought my wedding tuxedo in to be altered for my sister's upcoming wedding. I also purchased a toddler tuxedo for my 2-year-old son, who will be the ring bearer. Steve, my salesman was a pleasure to work with. He was very knowledgeable, friendly, and patient, especially when my son was running around the store!

I would also like to recognize the tailor, Maria. She did such a beautiful job altering my son's tuxedo! It is sized perfectly for him! Maria turned the pants into shorts and cut a piece of the pocket square I provided and sewed it into the front pocket of his jacket.

Not only did Maria charge such a nominal amount to alter my son's tuxedo but also did not charge me anything to alter my tuxedo because I purchased it from the store and paid to have it altered at the time of my wedding.

In addition, Maria surprised me and had my alterations done on the same day I picked up my son's tuxedo. I was not expecting mine to be finished for another 3 weeks! This allowed my son and me to try on our tuxedos together.

Both Maria and Steve were so courteous to my son and me. I am so grateful for their help. They were an integral part of making my sister's wedding day special! Thank you!
