Amazing Savings Plainview — Local services in Town of Oyster Bay

I have been to Amazing savings a few times, for their fair pricing and merchandise. It’s a family friendly and neighborhood “target”. However today I experienced insult and even threatening act from the staff. I borrowed the key to the bathroom. Shortly after my son and I used the bathroom, we went to check out at the register. The key to the bathroom has a huge wooden block attached to it. When I was at the check out line, I put the bathroom key with the wooden block on the register first, since I have pushed the shopping cart and my son was with me. Then I was about to load other merchandise, and immediately the lady at the register was like, miss! When you are finish return the key to register 7. Her tone is very unpleasant and there were no “please” or “thanks”. I understand that you are asking me to return the key, but be nice when you speak to your customer. So I was not feeling comfortable thinking in my head, and I said, would you please be considerate? I have only two hands. I put it down first because I have my son with me and the shopping cart. Immediately I heard her yelling, your son is your problem, not ours, etc. as I was unloading more merchandise from my cart to the register. I was thinking this is really unacceptable, so I took the key and threw it back to the register again and took my son away and said forget it , I am never shopping here again. As I was trying to leave. The lady stopped me and touched my arm as if she was trying to stop me from leaving, saying, hey you can’t do that ! I stormed out with my son and my son almost cried because he was scared of the situation.

Shame on the customer service reps and cashiers, this is a family store, I should not have been yelled at and threatened or even touched. This is how you treat your neighborhood family...

Great place for quick, easy, VERY reasonable gift-giving. There's so much to find in nooks and crannies throughout the store. They have a little bit of everything (tabletop, housewares, crafts, toys, beauty/bath, office supplies, wrapping and gift bags, disposable high quality "china", storage, the list goes on and on) All is easy to see, good layout of aisles, well lit, and clean looking. Just know that you have to return items at a separate register and you can't buy and return at same time...each needs to be done at designated registers. Only 15 days to return items with original packaging. NOTE: Fridays are basically half days, reopening Saturday, late evening. But that changes according to sundown (daylight...

Extremely disappointed in how the Indian lady yelled from the other side of the isle to tell me “We are closing now”. This happened at 7:54pm and I am well aware that the store closes at 8pm. Maybe she could work on her people skills as usually when a store has hours it means that they will at least allow you to finish your shopping.

I can understand if I was slowly strolling through each isle, but I was literally in 2 isles looking for specific things and have been in the store for less than 10 min.

Worst part is there were two other employees witnessing this and didn’t even blink an eye, makes me think this is a...
