THE PHARMACY IS VERY HELPFUL AND RESPONSIVE 5+ STARS FOR THE PHARMACY!!
Now as for the rest of the store…. If you like your household cleaners and bleach next to the candy, dried fruits and nuts aisle, you’re in for a treat.
If you were ever bothered by the purchasing power of bulk sized products then great! Bulk items stopped being trendy 15 years ago but don’t worry they won’t ever be back…because that’s occupied by 800 sq ft of 12pk sparkling water options.
600 sq ft of bills merch up front so useful…there’s no need to have us walk by retail items…we know they’re available.
Produce choices….ever shrinking
If you want less shelf product choices than ever before….this is the place for you.
Wegmans used to be a magical place where you could get nearly everything any time of the day or night. Let that sink in…yes you could enjoy the wonder that used to be wegmans any…time…of…the…day…or…night. Right night shift shoppers?
Today Danny asked me to round up for charity…..No Danny how about you round down and donate that.
Shoppers Club used to be a perk.
Maybe I’m getting older, maybe nothing has changed but it seems like Trader Joes and Whole Foods walked through the store, lobotomized the place and transplanted the personality into its own stores. It’s just not the same as it used to be.
But some things haven’t changed. Like the parking lot on a summer night… the way your car looks under the lights and youthful chatter of high school kids getting in and out of their cars.
The clatter of carts running on the mixed textures of tiles. It still has beauty. It just...
Read moreI know we all just love Wegmans. Quintessential Rochester. Go to another city or state, and the grocery stores there stink, poor ambiance, and uninspired offerings, typically. You will pay for these benefits, to the tune of a 20% surcharge, from what I've observed. If I could offer any criticism, the Penfield location in particular has a real problem with employees using the customer eating area as an "employee break room." At lunchtime, sometimes as many as 30+% of the seats downstairs are taken up by employees. For the life of me, as both a customer and former employee at a hotel, I've never seen such a thing. When the employees are on break, they cut in front of you, and are somewhat discourteous overall, as a general rule. I've seen this get progressively worse over the past few years at this location in particular. If you are wearing a Wegmans uniform, even if you're on break, you are representing the company. Treat the customers with more courtesy than you do, when on break. It makes good business sense. To mgmt: consider an employee break room! UPDATE: It seems that since I wrote this review over a year ago, meaningful change has been instituted. Thank you for your...

I picked my daughter up from summer camp and she is hell bent on getting the "honeynwaffles" that her fellow camper had brought before she returns for the next week... we go everywhere and everyone gives us blank stares and cold double blinks... UNTIL MELANA at this store, this girl googles everything on earth and then finds us in the store to say "5A" = she found them (stroopwaffles) in the international section. Yes it's a minor issue to some but to my 8 yo this is life or death.... and it took ONE WEGMANS EMPLOYEE WHO GAVE A HOOT to fix this all day issue. Dear Melana she totally gives a BLEEP and that is why Wegmans is worth paying for (even your bags). Thank you that somebody cares, I love you guys! Still family run and hiring the best kids. I for one, am loyal to this chain forever. Thanks Melana = you made my kid's summer camp sweet girl! Way...
