If I could, this specific Walgreens in Penfield wouldn’t even get a one star from me. My daughter, WITH A PRESCRIPTION went in to get her Covid vaccine. The pharmacy denied her request. When I called and asked why, the girl on the other end, hung up on me. She didn’t want to hear me when I said, it’s not their job to question a prescription from a doctor. She’s said, yeahhhh we can and I don’t care to speak to you about it and hung up! If I have a prescription you fill it! The Gov. herself has said this will not be happening in NYS! People will be getting their vaccine, no matter what RFK SAYS! So I suggest this pharmacy, keep their political freaking views out of my healthcare decisions! It’s our body not yours to decide. Read moreDisappointing service at the pharmacy. Went twice to pick up prescriptions called in for a non-insured patient. These prescriptions were previously obtained at a Rite Aid in Long Island, NY. At that time, the total price of the prescriptions was cut in half thanks to an online prescription discount card (and to extremely efficient and courteous staff at that location). However, when refills for the same prescriptions were called in at this Penfield location, the pharmacist besides being extremely curt, simply refused to give the discount previously obtained. She claimed that the discount card was stored in the Rite Aid system and did not qualify for discounts - although there was no obvious effort made to even look it up. Read moreThis store has horrible customer service. I went in at 8pm at night. Someone was trying to return something (it was not on their receipt and the girl needed to call up the manager). The manager couldn’t seem to figure it out either. I stood in line with my hands full for 15 minutes. I then asked if anyone else could ring me up. I was simply told “No” (let me be clear I wasn’t apologized to at all for the wait until I asked if someone else could help me). I did not wait, as I think 15 minutes In line is completely outrageous. 2 people do not need to be working on one problem.
